Multi-table play

I'm not a great player. I used to at least place in the money of most freerolls I played in until I took a break of several weeks. Now, my concentration is wrecked and I bust out too soon.

IMHO, one table at a time takes most of anyone's concentration. My personal rule is, only play as many tables as you can win (place in the money, or get a ticket to a further tourney) most of the time on most of the tables. if you can only 'win' in one of two or three simultaneous tourneys, or worse, not win in any, maybe you need to drop back to a single table.

There is nothing to help, play a lot of tables, you can only with experience .

First, you can start playing 4 tables, 2 weeks later to add 2 table , after some time two more tables, etc..
But remember, if your game is getting worse, say for example when you play 8 tables, it is necessary to reduce the number of tables ..

You have to play as many tables as you're comfortable and you show your best game, and have time to do all the action at the tables, that would not go away sit out...

Also need HUD of course without poker tracker , more then 4 tables you can not play , also need to use hotkeys ( F=Fold , S= all in ) , also need to to arrange tables could comfortably switch (mosaic ,cascade )

I can 24 table easily enough but it took a while to get there. You need to use some tracking software and colour coding system too. I use HEM2 and have bought Notecaddy which autocolours my players on pokerstars. This means that I have a pretty good idea how my opponents play. If you're only playing a couple of tables then get yourself comfortable with them and then add another and stick with the 3 until you're comfortable. As you increase tables you'll be able to start adding 2 at a time. You will also need some table management software such as Placemint once you start getting the number of tables up. Placemint is confusing to use and I only7 use the very basics of it. I also have a four monitor set up and can fit 16 tables per monitor. Pokerstars only allows 24 though. 24 is more than enough by the way.

Hotkeys not all rooms have, I talked about PokerStars..

Although I think they are only have on PokerStars, in other rooms need to install additional software..

i think 4 or 6 tables would be great....i cant imagine playing 24 tables lol
my mouse does not move that fast :p

maybe its more easy on cash games becouse there are no antes and no raising blinds becouse playing 24 torunaments in turbo seems impossible for me right now

but thx for the tips i think software might help

If you need help setting up placemint send me a private message and I'll explain how I use it. I don't use it correctly as it's hard to figure out but how I use it works well enough... hence why I'd rather not post how I use it in public... lol... but if you work out how to use it ... Please.. Please ... Please let me know!

the solution is ...
basically need to save thinking time and operation time.

save thinking time = practice makes fluent
and using computer to do some operating help for you like using HM2 or PT4, play data.

saving operating time, this is a big part when multi-tabling.
first test your hand move/hand click per second or per minutes.
try to find a good sensitive mouse to match with your hand move and finger click.

hand move, try to find several monitor for less hand move or head move.

make the amount/acting like fold , call, all in in advance, using hot key , and using dual hands or your one of your foot if possible, ps I am using foot to do the fold, with game equipment setting , it is amazing.

last try save your layout, table button in the fixed position on your screen, and when using long time, you are click as a habbit not by reaction, generally when react as a habit, you nevr from bones do the job, it is not your brain, this generally will save at least 0.1 second per move.

:D

Aside from buying software and color coding, you can adjust things to comfort you from multitabling.

The ideal number would be 4. You can arrange tables in a way you can see all of them on the screen.

You can also buy monitor with wide screen if your planning to add tables soon.

Open a bunch of the low stacks cash game. I've noticed that the play in the shallow stacks take a lot longer. I think that sounds reasonable and manageable for you, also play as many hands as possible in your range to be able to get the maximum experience out of them :) I' not a pro either but I've steadily started doing okay in multitabling

You have to play many tables as you feel confortable and according to your screen size. I usually don't play more than 12 tables at the same but I feel confortable just playing 4. When I play more then 4 tables, I can lose some focus but if you have your usual betting hands well defined, you will have no problemas to play more tables then usually you play. It's also a question of habit.

I think now you need to get stuck with 2 to 3 tables only, don't change your able limit frequently. When you feel comfortable with 2 or 3 tables and your mind accepts that situation slowly increase table limit.
