the rake is too high on these games. If you are not rolled for tourneys with less than a 10% rake, it's better to play cash games.

Yes, u should follow GoBilliards advice, but first try to get into some freerolls to get at least 12$ so as to play in .02 .04 LHE

Agreed... don't play these on a short bankroll... and I wouldn't bother with them if you don't have rakeback. Play tight for as long as you can, and don't be afraid to raise/fold, if you are sure you're in a bad spot. It doesn't matter if you'd be short when you fold... your opponents are short too.

I do not agree with any of above. Rake is 10% and the tables are full of fish. You have 10 buy-ins so you do not have a bankroll anyway. My advice to you is to read the "High blind play" chapter from Moshman's book. It will teach you how to choose your spots for pushing, when to fold , +EV moves etc. If you play more Frs at this moment wainting to cash some more you just waste time. Play the frs but at the same time try to increase your BR. I think you won your dollar playing funsteps. The others probabely won it the same . So the lvl of playing is not as dumb as it suppose to be. So to have an edge over them you have to think some of them are playing like you and the rest are fish. This is also is a good moment to take notes on every one of them.

this 11C SnG are Not turbo Sng.. this games are SUPERTURBO ... and so many fishes ,, as i have played on this games alot when i didnt have a good bankroll you have to be patient and all in with nice hands... 90% of times they are going to call you anyways so better if you wait for good hand and then push all-in
good luck

The super turbo's on Carbon start you off with 1500 chips also, didn't the ones on Tilt/Stars start you off with 300?
I have tried only 3 of the 11c ones on carbon with the 1$ i made from fun steps. I got first. second, and bubbled(than lost it all playing LHe :x).. so not a sufficient sample size, but just try to pick good spots and play tight. Even though the blinds go up quickly you do have time to wait for a decent spot. As stated above, the play isn't all that great and probably is other people who won $ in the fun steps or are on the last leg of their bankroll lol.

Lol. I played today the funsteps and after 3 hours i won a dollar. I think if you play classic TAG withoout msitakes you can build a BR of 20-30 dollars from this in one mounth. Simply there is no challenge untill step 3.
At Step1 it is possible to win the Step 2 ticket without playing a hand :D.
At Step 2 they are a little tight but they are still willing to go all in with A10, Qj suited preflop.
At Step3 you have to be a little lucky to win it but it not that hard since they are all pretty tight.I did not see a player who knows what he is really doing. I won 4 step 3 tickets and won the dollar with second one. Even at Step 3 players are preety poor.

That sounds really interesting, I've decided to download Carbon for the sole purpose of doing the fun steps :D

Yeah it probably is a good idea to try and build a BR from the fun steps instead of playing the super turbo's right away. I ended up losing the 1$ I made and won another and lost it too lol :(. I should try and wait next time...

I recommend the double or nothing SNGs to help you build a bankroll on merge sites. They are low risk and the points you earn playing them can easily get you into the bonus freerolls quickly. Good luck.

They aren't bingo - they are high variance, and you may have a lower ROI than in other games, but you can earn a lot of money by being better at them than other players ;)

Funsteps get a little annoying, easy to get to the 2nd step but then I usually get sucked out in the 2nd step...damn, but w.e. I just want to get some easy money, I guess this is the only way how sadly :(

Lol. It means you have still a lot to learn .
BTW. Here is how i did it maybe this helps you a little.
First i multitabled the first step 6 tables at a time. Once i finished one i open another untill the i reach the limit of 10 tickets. I did not played a step 2 untill i finished playing the step1 tickets. Be patient and the hands you play play them properly. You won't get to play many hands. If 3-4 guys are shoving at once i advice you folding even aces . Is not worth building a stack early risking getting out. You will get your turn later. Some donk will call and all in with garbage. Be tight like hell and you will win the step 2 easy. I won 8 step2 tickets. If you are not confortable playing 6 tables you can play 4 or less.
After that i played the step2 tickets mutitabling 4 tables since the game required more attention. I won 4 step3 tickets. Do not try to bluff . Do not call all-ins in the early or middle stages without AA or KK. Simple play and patence.
After that i played those 4 tickets 2 tables at once and played my best poker. Most of the players that reach Step3 in my opinion are decent but they still lack the ability to adjust. Most of them are nits and will fold or put you all in with big hands and they find themselfs outblinded after a while. There are some that try to be agressive because they read in book that this is the way to do but they lack the knowledge of how to play agressive so they are making big mistakes. Once in a while you find a average player that is building a bankroll from scrap. You have to be patient and know a little about the high blind play and having and edge over the others giev you big chances to get the dollar. I got it with the second ticket.
