Well i am playing pokerstars for a two years now. The fact is i am losing money. Not money just like that, i get it in some tournaments then go to casino or i spin silly stacks of spin&go or something like that. Where at end i lose my money. So i wanted to ask, what is best thing to hold on for beginner at pokerstars? Tournaments? low stack spin&go? sit&go? cash game? The fact i earn money and lose because i mix all style of games is silly. Thank you for advice.

First of all, stop playing in the casino, the odds are stacked against you.For beginner you should learn more about bankroll management. For me the best game to play is the 45,90 and 180 players sng or DoN, depending on your bankroll and skill of atleast 40x the buyin.

The best place to ask this sort of question is probably in the 'Learning Poker' forum.

If you regularly lose money regardless of where you play none of them can really be described as "Fast Money", except that it seems to leave you rather quickly.

If you are a good tournament player, you should keep playing tourneys and sit&go. In case you are better cash game player, keep playing them. But forget spin&go.

Stay away from casino. It is ok for fun and you can win playing them. But if you are trying to build a bankroll playing poker. The casino will suck it up rather quickly. If you are just playing for fun and the money lost doesn't mean much than have at it.

Same for spin and goes. At least until you have a big enough bankroll that you can take the big swings they will bring you.

Trying to take the fast way to build a bankroll will more times than not end up in going busto.

No-one can really answer the question what game you should play. Find something you can cash in and play that. Maby for you that will be SnG .. MTT .. cash games. Everyone is different. From the info in the OP. Sounds like it might be Tournaments for you.

Good Luck !

Have to know about bankroll management.

Dont play those high risk games until you become now an intermediate player.o

For beginner, I suggest you play first at the lowest stake.

NO CASINO GAMES ! For poker there are some general rules depending on the type of game you want to play . If you want to play big fields MTT's then you should have approximately 100 to 150 buyins for the MTT you want to play . This will allow for you to lose to variance without going busto . For cash games you can play on smaller bankroll limits , something like 30-50 buyins for cash should be enough and you can move up or down accordingly to how your bankroll is moving . Good Luck at the tables !

Send support an email. Say you want to ban spin and gos and the casino for starters so when you are at your weakest you won't be able to go and blow your money on high risk games. Then ask yourself if you prefer tournaments/sit and gos/cash and start playing whichever one you decide to choose and just stick to them and in no time you'll be making money

play focus in having fun and being happy, if hero can not afford losing money then play freerolls,

if hero needs to play for money to get all the excitement then plan the amount of money to expend on it

it`s like drinking beers if within two hours the pockets are empty hero leaves the bar, and no more beers until next paycheck comes,

the difference is that drinking beers, hero will expend some money but playing casinos the money might come back and multiplied but never expect this to occur quite often but once in a while.

cheers,

I have played well over a 1000 6 MAX SNG's. I understand the flow of the game, the timing of the plays and when to act and when to not. I study each player on the table for weakness. Its very ABC now which may not sound like much fun but its profitable. In fact I am on a 6 game winning streak right now, 6 straight 1st place wins in row. I beat variance by using pure skill.

I have played now for about 4 years and the first two were losing years learning the ropes of the game and figuring out how to decipher my opponents actions. I think it takes time, a lot of hands and a lot of tournaments to find that comfort zone. I rarely doubt my actions even when I'm wrong. I control tilt and bad beats well. I always give myself the best chance to win every time I sit down to play. In short, being profitable relies on a lot of factors not just the hands your playing. Controlling your actions and emotions are the first things to learn towards being a profitable player. Then on to minimizing mistakes and isolating your opponents weaknesses.

Play casino only if you have the discipline to stop when you win or loose the amount of money you set up to. With poker also try to play your best game everytime you are in, and stop when you reached your goal.
