Heads-up – the most dynamic form of poker, and one of the most difficult. Professionals HA poker is rightly considered the most strong players in the poker world. And a few tips will help you improve your results in the game one on one.

Full focus

If you play HA, we must fully focus on the game. Do not do anything else in parallel. This applies to poker in General, but especially heads-up, otherwise your OPP will take you over the edge. If you read the news in Facebook, you will be able to notice the faces of the opponent and let him get reads on you and against you to build an effective strategy. Do not miss any information during heads-up play, and try to always be a step ahead of his opponent.

Aggression

In heads-up aggression comes to the fore. If you are going to play aggressive, the enemy will take things into their own hands and beat you. But it is important not to overdo and not to become a maniac. Do not ever tribett and 4бебить all hands in a row. Your every action must have meaning, but don't be afraid to put some pressure on your opponent.

Main – position

Position is important in all forms of poker, and this applies to heads-up. You need to always understand the position you now or not. If you have position, you are acting last, and you have the advantage – you can see opponent's actions. So you can make decisions based on his actions. If you do not have the position that the advantage passes to the opponent. And you need to understand that he is in position, and try to anticipate his reaction to your action. Try to play more with the OPP that is out of position.

Learn to fold

Fold – not a bug, and there's nothing wrong with that, you decided to fold. It is often the situation when a player raises/calls all in on river, because he was "tied in a jar". But this is the wrong approach. It is not necessary so to do in the situation, when you are confident in their loss. Learning to make the right folds, you'll save your chips and be able to use them in hand that will be ahead. Learn to surrender, if necessary, and don't let your ego make decisions for you.

Continuous adaptation

HA poker is a game against a specific opponent. And most importantly – be able to adapt his game and be flexible. You need in every moment of the game to analyze the actions of the villain. He plays aggressive? Playing passively? Often tribett? He kalliroe the continuation bets? And so on. To each action of the opponent you need to find the right contrastive. For example, if the opponent plays very aggressively and constantly tribett you can call with a wider range of hands, because often he will have a weak hand.

agression at its finest in h-u situation, most times the blinds are crazy high when you get to hu-so for me its not allways about the cards-in hu i have no trouble going all-in when i have 2 to 1 chip lead or get dealt a monster-but,you have to be able to fold-i think hu is all about selling a story-if you can keep villian believing you, your chip stack will increase once they stop your chips go down,i also think praticing helps-ive also read alot about hu and have seen nearly every poker vid out there on u-toobe

Your range of hands can be much larger when playing Heads Up. Because the change of another player also having an Ace is much bigger at 9table then Heads Up. And when you have small blind and a weak hand just fold. When you have a good hand do not just call the BB but raise him. You do not win HA in just one big hand, but with hard work collecting the chips.

Play is very loose in the position . There is no time to wait for premium hands, your main tool in the heads-up is the last opportunity to act after the flop . Often, after a check on the flop, your opponent you take the pot continuation bet , regardless of whether you hit the flop or not , though , and on the turn , you will find yourself often . It means, you should raise before the flop almost every hand , with all cards , and have at least some idea of how to act on the turn . Only occasionally should temporarily slow down if your opponent often started perepovyshat your bets . Out of position , it should be completely excluded from the range of garbage hands like 93o or 25o.Normal calls are not generally welcome , you should lean toward a re-raise or fold . This simplifies the drawing medium hand , being the aggressor before the flop , you will take away a lot of banks , which otherwise would have had to pay .

i find most players are timid so in heads up i simply run them over last night had heads up went on for over 30 minutes he caught me twice but finally won. Two times i had to sit and let myself be blinded down to say 120k he would then have about 650k. So i had times when cards went seriously lame. I waited those out:) i went to final table with 5 to 1 and 4 to 1 chip stacks and pretty much added to it he got up to 120 when we started heads up. Like i said he got me a couple times where I had the low stack but continued pressure gave me the win imho. I mixed up betting how much raise etc.. trying to trap etc.. he avoided all the good traps.

Heads up to some might be a coin flip but its not. When you meet another great player its no fun at all lol but you can still win the key is never going all in without the premium goods or calling the all in etc.. cards will come still need some patience and believe you are the better player therefore you deserve to win:)

Well u have to widen your range, thats first and foremost, u cant play your "normal" range any Ax hand is good even to go allin, any pocket pair, heads up most of the hands u would never consider playing u should play, it just might be the winning hand, also play couple of hands with your opponent to get a good sense of his opening range, to form a picture, with what kind of hands u should call/fold/reraise or go allin, but u also have to be very careful, and know when u are beat and lay down your hand.

With which hands should / can you go All in with in a heads up match? What is important in heads up? What is the best way to play?

A♣ J♣ and A♦ J♦ are identical, because each is a hand consisting of an ace and a jack of the same suit. There are 169 nonequivalent starting hands in Hold'em (13 pocket pairs, 13 × 12/2 = 78 suited hands and 78 unsuited hands; 13+78+78 = 169).
If you hold A-K on a flop of 10-Q-K, out of all the 169 nonequivalent hands, only 14 have you beat at this point. That means only 8% of the possible hands have you beat.
The 8% number is not accurate to figure your odds at losing this pot, though, as the odds of being dealt AA are far lower than those of being dealt something like 4-7. Not to mention you already have one of the aces, which makes being dealt AA even more improbable.

Heads up, its one of my favorites forms to play. Probably cause to play heads up you have to play tight/aggressive, tight enough to predict when he just rises to steal the blinds or he rises on good hand. You have to play alot of not so likable hands on preflops and further, cause the chance he has nothing is bigger than when you play with more players on table. Just some bad hands, has to take their chance and you have to pay his preflop rise, on pairs or highs with good kicker i would call all in, just to sense he just trying to bluff. The most of aggressors would fold after you called all in and you are the big stack there.
Also you have to play safe and sense what he wants to do and counter it if you could.

I think the actual cards matter much less HU. Aggression is key. Don't be afraid to fold when you should and pay attention to when your opponents play changes. Sometimes you get people who make the same move like its a law. Had a player who would over bet any time an Ace popped on the board. I used that to beat him.
