I've only been playing HU and 5/10c nl for a 10days.
I can ramble..so i'll keep it short.
sb vs a guy who is foldings 33% then you can raise 100% vs a guy who calls/3bets then drop it to around 50-60% as you want
hands with value i.e SC, one gappers, high cards.
Post flop..just look if u can see ways to exploit them..within the usual poker terminology. Calling station..check when u miss and value u town him with TP and 2nd pair.
Maniacs..wait for strong hands and check/call or raise. It depends on the player though. As every player is different...some maniacs will keep it up when facing resistance whole others won't. So u have to throw out tester bets. In the first 25 hands you can take a loss..just to gain information as HU is a very saturated with information. I find atm i always lose at the start..i should probably make a few adjustment but i get information by calling down light etc and seeing how they react to different lines.
Fit n fold..just
bluff them alot. i.e they're folding 60%+ on the flop to a bet. I had fold to bet on my HUD for HU. Don't really require the cbet one..i have both though.
Finally i'd use Pokerazor a new program and get it while it's free. Just so you know ur
equity with different hand ranges. Ur equity on wet/dry boards and how to approach them.. but this is always villian dependant.
So its assumption on ur players actions and the flop texture-ur holding etc. So T87rainbow is a terrible flop to cbet. A K24 is a great one..but it isn't great if u have 89 vs a calling station etc. So its pretty basic..just u didn't ask any specific questions, so i'm assuming ur starting out.
Most important point. You sit down at the table and let players join..as the likelyhood is regs who are looking to build their BR will be waiting for you. Also if your struggling vs a guy why continue? get up and find an easier game which is the beauty of HU at micro's. Just look for the weak players and a bit like FR you isolate them.
So you have to drop ur pride/ego and always play vs guys where u have an edge. I have a rule atm cos i tilt..if i lose 1buy then i quit the game and start a fresh. Right..i'm rambling again ahah but finally, if u have momentum start min raising a players BB as it can put alot of guys on tilt..its always a godo adjustment vs a guy 3betting alot and u can see if they adjust correctly. By correctly adjusting their 3bet size etc.I think i've won most of my money HU from putting a guy on tilt atm.
btw, i'm a 10nl and below player..so maybe players can give u moer concrete advise. But i'm confident working along these lines will be +EV at these limits.
