i have almost the same problem, heads up are big problem for me specially when opponent raise me before the flop, what i do lately is that i raise when ever i have any hand that i would call i a regular game, that would prevent an opponent to raise you with anything just to put pressure on you, that is the best i can tell you, pretty tight in my play too...

Assuming you play turbo's, look up the "Sage" system, it gives you the mathematical way to play HU when shortstacked ;)
good luck!

HU is a game in itself. Your range has to be very wide and be prepared to raise your button almost all the time. You cant wait for a premium hand otherwise you will be blinded out.Overall be aggressive..

Hi,

I was going to create a very similar thread to this, glad I did a search first!

I have a couple of other beginners questions (If that's alright?; apologies if this is bad forum etiquette - I'm a forum noob):
- With a good hand do you still raise 3BB pre-flop? (Assuming that it doesn't commit you to the pot)
- I also assume that the rate at which you would usually bluff should increase (Depending upon your opponent)?

I've had a quick look at the SAGE system, found it interesting in terms of ranges - does anyone know any good books that are focused on heads up play?

in the SNG till heads up, I thought the blinds is very high?
then, mostly the default play is going to be "Jam or fold?"

but HU SNG is another game....it needs postflop play. but the key factor to win is try to be aggressive, no matter how u conservative or loose or hyper loose, aggressive always , not everytime 100%' but always be simply best.
