Playing heads up is a challenge, even for the big boys. Higher pairs are worth going in on. Lower pairs, you'd like to see a 3rd one. If your opponent is aggressive, call and let him play himself into your hand. If you have a bad hand, don't even call his raise. Give him the small pots, but take down the pots that have substance. Aces are substantial. Ace lower-rag is not so good, but worth seeing a flop, if the price isn't too high, foldable if the raise is too steep, they could have a pair. Avoid going all-in pre-flop, until you feel you have an edge, with a higher pair, or maybe AK or AQ. When your opponent gets frustrated, he might switch tactics, going all-in, all-in, all-in. Be patient. Wait for your edge. Then crush the last of their hopes and dreams with a solid starting hand pre-flop.
