Have I got these odds of hitting the flop right?

My understanding is that in general, to pair the board you always stand a 36% chance of making a pair from any holding such as K9, Q6 etc; but if you were holding a connected hand such as QJ, KJ, or even better if it's suited too, does this increase the odds of hitting a hand on the flop? ie do flush draw and straight draw odds add onto your initial odds of 36%? Sorry if this sounds confusing but hope someone can understand what I mean.

32%

Yes you have a better chance to hit with a hand that is connected/suited.

So does that increase the odds to 50% let's say? How is this calculated?

You really have to count probable outs given the texture of the exposed cards. Determine what would be a nut hand down to top pair. Anything in that range where you can improve your hand could be considered an out. Outs have different perentages for probabilites with two cards left or one card left.

I believe it would be around 50% chance to hit either a pair, a flush draw or a straight draw with KQs or 56s etc; if you add the odds of flopping pair and odds of flopping a straight or flush draw, that's how I did it.

Odds of flopping a pair: 36%
Odds of flopping a straight draw or a flush draw: 15%

That's how I figured it out but don't know if that's true or not.

I agree, 32%. Thats on the flop and not river.

Surely, additional percentage if you play connected or suited. For example, suited, it adds about roughly 3%.
