So i got into a really great convo with a friend that lasted well over 1 hr talking bout hands we play in and outta position. I told him bout the Low Ball Approach that Daniel Negreanues book taught me.

Lets Say i have J9 off and im sitting in Late Position Depending on what the bet is Blinds and antes i will play this hand almost everytime in a Flat Call situation when i see that i could get away with seeing at least the Flop. now lets say i Do hit the nuts either on the flop or on the Turn after getting away with a cheap Flop i usually slow play with a 1/3 to a 1/4 as a teaser bet to half pot u on the turn or the river with another 1/4 size bet on the turn if i hit on the flop. I told im i play this way because since i have opened up a lil bit more in my game with suited connectors and random Q10s J10 suited or not suited A5-10 suited i said ive been able to hit more sets, straights and flushes then ever before all due to the low ball approach.

NOW WITH THIS BEING SAID I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT HAND YOU GUYS PLAY OUTTA POSITION MOSTLY AND HOW YOU GO ABOUT PLAYIN THE HAND POST AND PREFLOP

I used to be a bit of a kamikaze out of position but good sense and alot of beats.

Just posted on this thread and it'd be cool to get you input too. https://www.cardschat.com/forum/tournament-poker-59/ways-play-early-position-250296/

If the table is passive I'm partial to suited connectors if I want to open up my range a bit without loosing too much win potential, although I will raise any 2 cards if my table are all folding out every hand waiting to get dealt AA.

Position is relative. It depends on the game. I like the say to "Play tight in a loose game and loose in a tight game."

If the question is, "What does one open with in early and middle position?" My answer is, Hands that are strong by themselves or ones that have the ability to flop very well." Big pairs and suited connectors. Say less than 10% of hands UTG to 35% of hands on the button.

YUP - you need to be very careful following what Negreanu says without a great deal of reading between the lines. He has a way of putting things out there in a black and white manner and that is not at all how he means it - it's all very read dependent.
