K, I've received some hand histories from Fletchdad for review.

I was curious after seeing his stats in his own thread, but then this session seems quite different; I've got him with cbet of 80% in here, which is getting into my wheelhouse rather than his normal one. :D

Here's a few questions that I came across:

To me this 3bet is undersized. I don't have all the stats that you have on this player and I don't play a lot of 6 max and I've never played the Euro tables, so if you tell me that this is standard and it gets the standard folds/calls, then I have no problem with it, but my standard here is raising to 1.00; pot plus a little more because you're going to be out of position post flop if you're called. This size is fine when you're in position.

Hero RETURN $0.5
Showdown:
Hero MUCKS

Hero wins the pot: $1.25

This hand you get 3bet, and a small size. Maybe snap fold is your automatic reaction to being 3bet, but because of the small size, and you will get position, and you have deep stacks, you have implied odds to set mine here.

Here I don't like the cbet. Maybe you're intentionally pushing to cbet more often in this session, but 4 way, with fishy callers, I only bet this flop with clear value; at least TPTK/Overpairs/sets.

The more other players you have in any flop, the stronger you need your hand to be because you're more likely NOT to get folds.

Here the raise is questionable from early, but I'd expect it from a LAGgier player than your game indicates. But firing three barrels just because you caught top pair is too much aggression, imho. Unless your opponent really is likely the type to call 3 streets with middle pairs or a weaker Ace (of which there are few given the rest of the board), especially when a 7 gets there with a straight on the river.

Overall your game is fine, I think. I do get a sense sometimes of firing one more barrel than optimal, as if you have some difficulty with aggression once you've caught something, even if it's second pair. And there were a couple small questionable river calls, as if you suspect your opponents of bluffing more often than they actually are, which might account for your 42% showdown win rate over this small sample.

Questions/comments/more thoughts?

Only comment I have so far is:

Thanks for taking the time to do this!!!!!

I am in the midst of a LOT of game changes (you comment about c bet, yea, among other things, BUT am not totally sure where I am going with new play...)

In any case, I will look close at the hands you commented on, as well as your general comments on my play, and thanks for taking your time to do this!!!

I do have to say, you got one session - complete - but I think my sessions can be schizophrenic, if you know what I mean. I think this was an average one, but you say "Overall I think your game is fine" which I love to hear, but maybe I should have sent you another session.... I dont know..... I dont feel my game as being fine..._.(

In any case, thanks millions for taking you time to do this!!!!!!

It makes things difficult if you jiggle your game around too much while waiting for something to settle in. You might want to get a live coaching session from someone because they'll come at it with an established game plan and help the jiggle your game into something closer to their already confirmed winning style.

At the same time, your overall game should always include a range of playing styles determined by your read on your specific opponent. In other words I'm pretty TAG but I'll go looser/passive preflop against a bad LAG and a little tighter/more aggressive against a good LAG who can fold, and LAGgier against a fish or a table of fishes.

And if you're playing around with you base game, keep an eye on your postflop stickiness. I know sometimes when I tweak my preflop game I start to become too attached to my hands postflop and have more difficulty giving up postflop.
