How does the clock run in a tournament once the tournament enters into hand for hand play? Does the clock keep running while each table finishes its hands, or does the clock stop at some point in the hand to hand play?

I believe that when hand for hand play does happen the clock still runs until the next blind however sometimes when it does run to 0 it reset to 1 min to accomodate the waiting time.

Not sure, that's a good question. I've never made it that far in a live tournament.

Here in Brazil, we follow the ADTP (Poker Tournament Directors Association) rule, and there is a rule when you are in Hand for Hand. Stop the clock every 2 minutes for as long as the Hand for Hand lasts. After that, follow the flow of the game.
