Cash or tourney play? I often recommend Small Stakes No Limit Holdem (Ed Miller and a couple other guys) for online 6 max cash play. It's pretty easy to read, although I suppose it depends just how green you actually are. What stakes do you currently play and how are you faring?

I started with "Phil Gordon's Little Green Book: Lessons and Teachings in No Limit Texas Hold'em" and then moved onto "The Theory of Poker: A Professional Poker Player Teaches You How to Think Like One"

I think the little green book was a really good introduction on poker ideas and concepts, but now I know a little bit more about the game I intend to go back and read it again...

I initially started out trying to read a couple more advanced books, and while some of it was helpful, alot of it was over my head at the time. i found "Crushing the Microstakes" by Blackrain79 and that was pretty helpful. That book and Leakbuster pretty much got me going, and on the right path as far as some fundamental things.

I'm surprised no one has recommended Doyle Brunson Super System.

Colin Moshman sit n go is a good one.

I'm working my way through Harrington on Hold'em too. It's very approachable for a rank beginner like me, but some of the concepts require a re-reading. I'd go for this one!
