For all those who play in freerolls, do you consider calling all in raises early on in the tournament or do you prefer to slowly work your way up in chips through play?

work slowly and get all in after the flop where you are in a favorable situation, instead of preflop races where one bad flop and you are out.

If I was to freeroll, and do it seriously. Particularly in lower value MTTs then yes this is 100% accurate.
There is no point in creating variance in a field that lives on it.
Grind Grind and you will cash even if it is 1-25 that cash likely 10-20% of time depending on AFS and payout %s.

better to play slowly, trying to see the flop cheaply and collect a good combination. in the beginning it is difficult, as in tournaments with a lot of people a lot of fish that do not give even see the flop. if you're okay with luck then you can always go all-in)))

I will definitely call an all-in bet with the top 5 premium hands. In a freeroll, if I get knocked out early (and statistically this won't happen that often if playing the premium hands), then I just move on to the next freeroll. If I get knocked out early, then I save the only thing this game has cost me - TIME. If I do manage to double up once or twice, then it is much more likely to get into the money. This doesn't mean that I don't continue to grind, playing suited connectors and a small range of starting cards - If I can get in cheap.

I grind, but if I wake up with AA or KK early, I'll go all in and hope a donk calls with AK or a small pair.

AA is zero

In freeroll AA is zero ( ALL INN preflop ) because you will have 3-4 callers with nothing in they hands. So many times i was busted with AA preflop all inn ( about 70-75 % ) I made a post here AA lost in 70 % in preflop all inn. Only nuts after you see flop, they are bingo players in freerolls.:argh:

I tend to like to build my stack early on the early part of the game it is allins after allins but it seems to slow down after a bit now if i am sitting there with AA or KK yeah i am gonna go but yeah like to build early and if they are going allin quite a bit i will just sit and wait.

Yes, especially if someone is shoving a lot. While they might be running good, I usually assume they're shoving wide, and I can call with hands that have reasonable equity against a wide range. If I bust, then oh well, it was a freeroll.

I don't see much open-shoving in our freerolls until late, so I'm mostly commenting about non-cc freerolls, and tourneys like the Carbon Dollar Frenzy.

Play it slowly, as flips and even hands where you have flips and even hands where you have a 60% advantage, will probably not be worth it at the end. This is because, if you consistently risk your stack in these situations, there is a good chance you will bust on one of the occasions. Also, the 1.5k or 3k chips you earn won't matter to much in the long run. I believe that grinding early in the tourney is better as you can gain a significant amount of chips in the long run, without being as risky.

if I have premium hands then I will call because the players in alot of freerolls go all in with random bad hands.. and as they keep doing it through out the whole torney you are going to have to deal with it evetualy so its worth it to double up through them when you obviously have them beat, and if lucks not on your side.. well thats freerolls, you need a little luck in them anyway because of the massive player pool.

Talking about freerolls, I believe you have to play extremaly tight, because it's very tough to bluff and build your stack aswell. Also I see nothing wrong going all in in a freeroll, busting out players who just don't give a crack with cards like AA, KK, AK, AQ

to be completely honest here, I truly look at the freerolls as this, TIME consuming. That said, I normally wait for a good hand i am comfortable shoving.. and just do so, either you double up your stack early or leave very early with little time involved and no money lost. After you triple up your stack and make it through the first "round" I normally stiffen up a bit and play somewhat tight but still a bit aggressive, after the second break and bubble is in reach, I start to play my normal game and 9x out of 10 i makje the money if not the FT.

Go big early or go home. At the end of the day it's a freeroll so if you lose trying to put yourself in a favourable position to have a deep run then oh well there will be more free rolls down the line

Buena Suerte :)
