Many of us dive head first into online poker with no plan or real thought of where we are going or what we are doing. We just play, which is fine if poker is just a way for you to kill some time. But what about those that want to make a second income while doing something they enjoy?

Where to start? I thought I would do an introduction video to provide some insight to players needing a point in the right direction. This is just a basic overview on what you need to do to become a profitable online player. If you have been on CC or playing online awhile, nothing will be new to you in this video. However, it might refresh your memory and get you back on track if you have gone astray.

This video talks about the difference between online and live poker, BRM, Books, training sites, tracking software, "the big two" poker sites and touches a little on rakeback and VIP programs.

Welcome to online poker

Videos mentioned in "Welcome to online poker"
BRM and Table Selection
Poker Tracker 3 Setup and features
How to use Poker Stove by Jillychemung

Other videos I've done such as sweat sessions, one table SNG's and ring session can be viewed using the link below.

Another good one TPC. I appreciate you sharing this info. This would have been great info when I first started. I'm sure you're going to help someone get their feet solid a lot faster than I. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks, I made it thinking it's kinda the stuff I wanted to know when I started playing online, but didn't know I needed to know it, if that makes sense.

That makes complete sense. Poker is like anything else in life that you might have an interest in; you don't know what you need to know, until you know it.

Nice video, but I disagree on the live vs online play. I don't know what casino you play at, but more popular casinos have more donkey-type players.

The Hard Rock casinos I play at in Florida have LOADS of donks, the play is WORSE than 1/2c online. Prl/Flp is always 50%-90%.
