I've no tumor, and my life isn't in imminent danger. but, I'm hard up to improve my poker game in the shortest possible time.

HOW do I maximize my time? I hate reading, love playing. Are there more user friendly books for lazy guys like me who want it all, but don't want to do the hard lifting?

I've been registering for the BOL free rolls. I would love to win one and get some actual cash in my account. I haven't deposited for a week or so and I am anxious to get back in the game.

Worst case scenario: I get paid on Friday.

I'm gonna try the LAG style for the 8pm $10 freeroll on BOL.

So far, I'm up 900 on my first hand. Just have to continue to gain without giving up the big pots.

Simple Plan. lol

Lost that one, terribly. And i'm in the middle of getting destroyed in the 9pm $100.

Hey man! If you're looking to improve your game on your own and without external resources (like books), my best recommendation is to record hands and keep a journal. Self-reflection will reveal more about your game than you'd think, and is a great way to improve every time you sit at the table. Otherwise, you're kind of just hoping for results you'll never be able to quantify.

I do not read books but practice teaches you how to improve your game

Hey, I really dont think books are going to be your best value for improving your game, especially since you do not want to do any heavy lifting.. I do not recommend just playing more poker, since your basic strat is probably not very good. Go to Twitch or Youtube. If you like tourneys check out Tonkaaap, Beuhlero, and there are many more. These guys play tournaments and explain why they are making the plays that they are, very info driven, you can learn alot. Poker is a game played alone but I think you need help to learn.

You say you love playing. A crucial way of getting better is to actually play the game. A lot.
What I mean by that is that many people that get into poker, get so focused on learning about strategy first, that they forget to actually play the game. They are good at talking about the game, and all the strategy that goes with it, but they might in fact be losing players. Strategy is good to know, but focus on playing as many hands as you can. Spend as much of the time as you can at the tables.
It seems like you prefer tournaments over cash games? Then stick to tournaments, make up a schedule over which tournaments you want to play in the day, or play some sit n gos.
As for strategy in freerolls/micro buy-in tournaments: Play tight the first few levels. As the blinds starts to increase you should progressively start loosening up, and play more and more hands, especially from late position. But there are simple strategy articles/videos that cover that sort of thing, so I won't go into detail (I'm also more of a cash game player, so I don't have any specific tournament advice).

THANKS FOR ALL THE REPLIES/ADVICE !!

I AM playing as many hands as I can. I dod wsop App for my free, phone play.

I also am on ACR, BOL, and ignition casino.

Some of my bad beats make me suspect all of these sites.... But, I continue to sink my cash in.
I get paid tomorrow. So, i'm torn between depositing on BOL ( I like the frequent free rolls, and all the micro stakes games) OR.......
Going to the casino and doing a few hours in a cash game.

Word of adnice don't play all your hands, play about 20% of them, maybe I'm misunderstanding your message saying you going to play as many bets as possible?

Another thing is that there are better and better players as you improve and raise your stakes. So, in the long run, there is no way around hard lifting, unless you are OK with being a losing player.
