Using vpip and pfr..how can I understand a players range better? If I would like to study using a chart after the game how can I choose the opponents range. When I really try to do this I keep coming up with the same hands..ak,at,kq,jj etc.. this can not be the case for every player. Also what stats should I be using to define an opponents flop range turn range river range..bets and raises. I think this is a big part i'm missing in my game.. Any tips on how I can get better at putting my opponents on hands?

Typically I remove cards from their range, based on how they play. Lets say they are in the button in a full ring game. If 6 people limp into the pot and the button completes, I would remove premium holdings from their range. Normally, AA KK QQ JJ and AK would want to raise the pot and eliminate speculative hands.

When the flop comes, based on their line of play, I will either put them on Top/Middle/Bottom/Air/PP/Set/Draw based on action and bet size.

If in a full ring game 4 players limps in with other players and sb and bb complete. With a flop of :8c4: :7c4: :4h4: anyone competing in a large pot probably has 2 pair or better/ straight/ straight and/or flush draw.
