blinds go up faster (to varying degrees depending upon how it's set up).
Faster increases in blinds means you'll be playing on shorter stacks much sooner (relevant to the size of the blinds) which also means the tourney will get to the shove/fold stage much faster than a regular speed tourney.

Also some of the super turbos start out with very small stacks

@Hanagis- Not sure this is the advice most here would give but what I do in a hyper is push if I am strong so as to attempt to get my stack built quickly. In a regular paced tourney I tend to use a tactic of sustainability and would not shove with some of the hands I have in hyper because I am not as worried about the stacks. So basically, I open up my range for the hyper games.

Varies from turbo, super turbo but your style should be more aggresive specially on the super turbo, just dont go shoving all in with 7 10

In tournaments with faster structures, you have to widen the range of hands you play and ramp up your aggression. The basic reason is that since the blinds rise more rapidly, it costs more chips to sit and fold the same number of hands.

To illustrate this, say it's 5-handed with 5-minute levels and the table speed is 1 minute per hand. If you fold the first 20 hands, you've given up 1 SB plus 1 BB at each of the first four blind levels. Now compare this with 10-minute levels where you gave up 2 SB + 2 BB at each of the first two blind levels. The difference may now seem like much when we talk about SBs and BBs, but because the blinds escalate, it's much larger when we take actual structures and figure out how many chips we're blinding away.

The faster the structure, the more luck will determine things.

I don't necessarily believe that this is true. Having an extremely strong push/fold game against moderate competition can be fairly low-variance.
