No matter which game you play it is vital that you have a plan. In your plan you should be selective in the hands you play but play them aggressively. The hands you do play will depend on the two hole-cards you are dealt and your position relative to the dealer. Decide before hand which hands you play from each of the positions and stick to these and only these. In early rounds play tight and limit yourself to premium starting hands, you can loosen up a little later in the game.

I respectfully disagree. While it is good to have come into a table initially with a game plan, you need to be able to scrap it if that plan does not take advantage of the people you are playing against. Taking advantage of your opponents is what will win you chips.

I am a newbie and i even still got my chart with which cards you should play and with which you shouldn't:D so i realy think that you should have some kind of game plan. I think everyone should master the think or the aspect of the game which he has most talent. Bluffs, aggresion, reads etc.

If you say gameplan I can imagine only a starting hand table. From my point of view there shouldn't be a plan in your mind when you start to play. Based on your stack ,opponents style, etc you always or often change your play a bit.
