I'm having a hard time winning a freeroll because in the beginning people go all in all the time and i get beat with pocket aces or king a lot, it seem almost impossible to win one, or is it just me that can't win one or finish in top 3??

Yea, get your post count up so you eligible for the CardsChat freerolsl and you will find the play much less donkerific. Not a bad way to build up a bankroll from nada.

To build a good BR with freerolls is almost impossible. Cause the poker boom is over and there are only few. Not to mention the CC-freerolls. But u need skill and luck. Better to start by depositing 10$ or so and give it a try on the microstakes or low-buy in tournaments.
U can also ruin ur gameplay with these freerolls , cause its more bingo instead of poker :)

Don't worry, building a roll from freerolls is definitely doable. Just work on improving your skills and you will get some cashes/wins in no time.

Freerolls are saturated nowadays. You'll make the money faster working and depositing.

Faster and easier

But money added tournaments with a small entry from forums is a good way to start a bankroll

So far so good for me in free rolls. Keep playing them, you will get there in time, I did. I have a small BR built up from them. Just hang in there and figure them out.

It takes a ton of patience , I have done it twice but it is doubtful I would have the patience to do it again. And as has been mentioned the poker boom with plentiful and better paying freerolls has passed.

If you enjoy playing them just keep at it and it will happen for you , and as mentioned the CC freerolls are not so bloated , you will however be playing a more educated crowd , GL.

Freerolls don't really pay much usually, but you can get a little bit of cash going that way, but they're quite time intensive for the amount you can win, so it's really more entertainment than it is a reasonable way to build up a bankroll.

Try eg Redbet freerolls (Boss). They have some in July: 200-500 euro prize and only 400-500 players.
Full Tilt also have festival freerolls (5K each) this month.

You can win open freerolls, but it takes lots of patience, a good sense of timing, and be willing to fold good hands when you need to. A better way would be CC private freerolls, or if you make a deposit most sites have a deposit freerolls. So my advice would be to make a small deposit, if you are a good player already.

Keep at it. It is possible to win freerolls but the variance is sometimes outrageous. I have finished first in the fulltilt canada free roll once and final tabled a few times. The donk factor definatley makes it hard to win but it is good practice, make sure you stick to your game plan... just because someone cracks aces wit 45 off doesn't mean you should try... rarely do donks with big stacks make it to the money.

all my bankrolls on many many sites all started with freerolls
sure it aint easy, sure its a loooong game, and sure you will get bad beats and donked out
but it is very doable
study some more tourny play articles
stay very tight in the beginning (cuz its an allin fest)
open up your range as blinds/antes get larger,
learn to play position- fold when not in position and steal when you have.
patience is huge, but also not being afraid to get it in when you're sure you're ahead
(meaning dont slowplay but reraise/ shove, isolating players and stealing more pots)
I dont freeroll as often but this year Ive cashed at least 4-5 on fulltilt,
and can run deep most of the time, you just got to adjust your style to the game type and players at your tbl
gl to you

i never deposited a dime in any poker room, i build some money on different rooms but it seems to me that it took a lot of time for not so much money, i never get deep in the money because when im close to the money i play super tight, sometimes i almost hope to get trash cards so i can fold and when i eventually get itm im almost always super short with chips that i simply cant do anything bigger...

Especially Russians... they are everywhere :(

I like them cos they are usually agressive, so only have to wait for good cards and trap then. ;) Plus after losing american players, they bring most of the money to the poker rooms.

Freerolls are good, only problem is they are packed with newcomers that can get really lucky sometimes. It'll be hard to cash in but it can't hurt to try them out

I hate big freerolls but i guess if you have no money you can play them. Id just assume getting a 2nd job for a month and starting with $1000 roll.

I have played a lot of freerolls.I thought that will let me learn poker from begining, and waste least money. But I doubt that to be right.May be,if I had enought money,I ought to begin from some low buying, that could save me more time.

look freerolls are a place where no admission charge to people throw all in with pairs mediocre or nothing and ends up being a bingo.Pero I have finished on the table in many 3RD sometimes 2 but never win! I think the best serious play freerolls with blinds every 10 minutes or if you want to play turbos NEED TO pull many all in!

Free rolls are fine.odds are slim to winning, with over 1,000 players in them.Nothing to loose but nerves and time.Play tight in early stages and let the donkeys stampede through the barn doors.I would rather make a small deposit and start unless its a CC private member free roll ,where the field of players is much smaller. Some very good players in the CC free rolls, but I like that because over time it will improve your game by watching and learning by your mistakes.

What are you after? Money or experience? Freerolls are horrible for money, excellent for experience.
