Hello

I was wondering if there is a certain strategy for playing freerolls that are high volume and very fast blinds.

What I did in my last one was Push/Fold all the time when I have 5 big left I push With anything.

It got me to a !!wapping!! 0.40c
Tell me what you think?

Aggressive play is rewarded in most freerolls. Have fun, but don't let it creep over into money games.

Agreed. Especially early on I play way more hands in freerolls then I would in cash games. The only way to win freerolls is to double or triple up early and then be able to sit on it and play premium hands.

Wait for the loose players to push and some good hands.
Then you will double up and can play your normal game....;)

In freerolls and big micro mtt tournaments,I usually use the same basic stradegy.
I however do not let it tilt me when I bust out early in these type tournaments due to a suckout.
I try to play tight at first and keep an average or better chip stack,If given the opportunity to get all my chips in early on and take a chnce I will try to double up.
But will make sure I have close to the nuts if not the nuts.
Then if I do get a double up I will tighten down and play only case hands.
Toward the bubble stages of these freerolls and micro limit tournaments I will start to play alot looser seeing alot more flops,at this stage of the tournament people to tend to tighten up.
In late stages I will Often focus alot on position and my chip stack compared to average.
Also if im not the chip leader at my tble I will begin to focus alot ore on how there handling there chips.

you should probably be waiting to shove with a decent hand....like A rag or even K rag at least imo

I think you have to play tight early and let the donks knock each other out. Wait and only play premium hands the first 30 min. to an hour. Then open up your hand selection some

In freerolls I would say play tight and whenever you get a hand you need to push all in and allow alot of the donks to be knocked out and then start playing an aggressive game but obviously do not keep this strategy once you start playing real money games.

In freerolls where the blinds increase rapidly, you'll have to take your chances. Most likely you'll have to go all-in more frequently-cards that are good for the task are medium pairs and higher and A-J or higher.:)

I think the best thing I read here was from left52side:

Too many times I've done that and then sat at a SnG and have seen my chips just walk over to the other players.... yea, it sucks haha

I've always liked to raise preflop with these hands that have mostly always woked for me. I like to use a combination of AA, AK, KK, QKs and QQ, and maybe AQ and AJ only if they are suited.

YOu must balance your time against the payout. Or if you are just playing for fun you can attempt a varity of styles and see what works for you.

I like the strategy of playing any combination of AA, AK, AQ and folding everything else until you get to $200.00 BB, which is usually around level 6 to 8. Then steal the blinds in position and don't go all in without the nuts. Play aggressive before the bubble and go after the medium stacks up to the final table. Hope to get good hands on the final table and Bob's your uncle.
