The freeroll tournaments on ACR feel very similar to high stakes play money. What are some of the best strategies to exploit these types of players?

Play very very carefully. Some players go all in, with whatever cards. They either lose, or go double up. They are impatient, must be on big stack or nothing. They Play tight aggresive. When they are on big stack, begins play carefully, because they have good position in tournament, and chance to win

Call all-in only with pair's of queens or higher and with AK, this is the best option.

Tight in the beginning is the right play. Often you can try to limp sometimes, but you have to know that there could be someone that will move allin with for example 9 high card. You can easily double up against those players. Sometimes they get lucky, but in the long run you will have more double ups then they will have.

Tight is correct. Choose carefully hands You play. Be patient until You get really good hand. Average hand means trouble. 2 pairs is nothing :D

this is ok, but not everytime is the best strategy.
Sometimes i`d lost with pair of aces, my opponent have pair of 3 and one of the cards at table- 3. So i know this: the poker is 50 % skills and 100 % luck even more. I`ve read some books for strategy and plays like a pro, but when you have opponent who plays all in or with any cars it`s difficult. In mostly i win, but sometimes even with pair of quins, kings, aces... i lost :(

At the beginning, play really carefully. Even if you have monster cards, there are enough guys that go all-in with nothing and win luckily with two pair or whatever and think they are the greatest :D

In later stages, after the bubble, you can begin trying riskier strategies or some bluffs...

These tournaments are very different than normal tournaments for many reasons. The basic reason is because no money is at risk and only the top 10 get paid.
Because of these reasons i play this tournament very different than other tournaments and have a good bit of success placing in about 15 to 20% of them.
I honestly look for some good spots early where there is a lot of chips in the pot. If i have a suited connector, mid pair, or 2 face cards, i shove and take my chances. During the middle of the tournament i'll try to stay away from larger stacks unless they are playing kind of wild giving me good implied odds if i hit the nuts. I find people who go all in preflop and call them when its say 1/4 my stack or lower and just take chances with mid pairs and suited face cards or AK or AQ something like that. It usually works good to build the stack.
Now during the end of the tournament, Usually the last 4-5 tables. I will tighten up again and wait for some chances w good pot odds or implied odds and see how the cards are running. Even w KK or AK i play it kind of soft until i see the flop, Once i know its safe i will make a move for more chips and usually get paid pretty decent, But i will warn you, if someone is running good, they will continue to run good on THAT table. If you get dealt a KK or AK id look at the flop before pushing preflop, because chances are they are going to win no matter what they have, thats just how i see the software running. I play those cards softer towards the last 2 - 3 tables. On the final table, just play solid good poker, you can reraise w AK or KK becasue you are more than likely ahead and on the final table it seems the cards hold more often than the few tables before that.
In the mid tournaments if i find myself w a good draw on the flop, nut straight w a rainbow board or a nut flush draw w a straight draw i will call all my chips off just to give me a really big stack going towards the last few tables.
Remember you are only playing for the top 10 places and playing great poker isn't going to work i promise you, there are just too many people that will call with nothing or 1 pair and try to hit anything to your good plays. You WILL be losing with good cards often.
If you want to try to play the best poker possible, play soft soft soft the entire tournament, although this is going to be hard to make you chips against all the people pushing all the time and when you find yourself w a KK or QQ you will be outchipped so badly that you will find yourself getting call by 2 or 3 other people because your stack is so low. That is just how poker is played.
My advice is play very loosely and take big chances to get a big stack, then you can dictate the speed of play, and pick off others who go all in preflop w mid pairs and suited connectors.
Tighten up during the last few tables and you should make the Final table. If i play 5 a day i usually place in about 1 of them, sometimes 2. Good luck.

Play very tight and exploit mediocre hands with the very top hands like QQ and up.

Thats my strategy at least anyway.

If you end up losing with AA against 44 or something that sucks real bad but don't worry, it's only a freeroll after all ; )

You can play tight, but I think before playing tight try to double up...then it is easier to play with bigger stak

Stay way from the all in players every hand at start. Play smart and get your money in with the best hand.

Play tight, wait for opponents to go all in and call with great hands at the beginning. This is mostly when your opponents take care of themselves and eliminate each other. There is such a massive element of risk in these games because of the way people play so loosely, so try to judge your success over multiple games as opposed to just one

I play tight but aggressive, if I think I have the best hand I'll try and get all my opponents chips in the middle. I also watch the number of people at the table. When there are less than 10-9 at the table which happens as people go out before they reorganize them, I get less tight for a while until table is full again.

I play them pretty tight at first. Then, as things tighten up (and they do) you can start playing normal poker.

patience and aggression using the full toolbox of your poker history. If play 7-8 of the 10 dollars a week i will money a couple times and usually win one. This is 500-600 players and I have done this since last couple years. I try not to play them. Sometimes just want another game so give it a go but would rather play 25 guaranteed 0.50 entry tournament with 100 players. Is no rhyme or reason I win this a lot I money a bit on full flush freerolls or on betonline but is no comparison on how I do on wpn or acr blackchip. The cars hold up better? Or I simply play those better. Winning one out of 10 is pretty dammed good in any event so history of doing that is mind boggling to me lol. If could get other sites to win that much id be pretty happy.

Looked at history of 2008 for a few sites an was anywhere from 47% to 95% percent of hundreds of thousands of players. Made me realize yep usually im ok player but I have a high end/ Is that the tiger woods factor some tournament im just more lucky?

Is something to think on as you buy into more events from your winnings.

My only advice is sincerely to allow the game to come to you do not let what others are doing have any way into your thought process play your game work on your game and in the end you should fin your way pretty well

I'm ultra tight/aggressive all the way through. Its nothing but fold or ship it until the first break. If I quadruple my stack to that point I'm happy. Then treat it like a real money buy in after that

Freerolls are bingo games for the first few levels. Better to be super tight and then aggro if you pick up a big hand until that point. Once you get to level 5-6, things usually settle out and you can treat it more like a small stakes mtt.

Just notice how the other players are playing are your table. You probably have to pay even more attention than a normal tournament because you get people playing crazy in a freeroll. Someone said wait for Ak or queens or better before calling a shove, but I wouldn't necessarily agree. You'll get some bigstacks shoving almost every hand, and in that case I'm more than happy to call with Ace rag or even KQ. Other players play it kind of seriously and these guys you can semi-bluff. I don't use any software programs but these would probably help a lot in a wild tournament.

The strategy is simple, play and enjoy the game. Its freeroll and we dont pay any cent to play there.

In the beginning its a mix of lucky bad players and no pacience. You have to be very careful, DON´T go all-in just because you have a A, but you have to risk sometimes, because you need chips to future blinds;

I play VERY tight until I have monster hand. Those people will call anything so you can make up for it. Problem it it is so boring you might just go all in and dont care if you win or lose. you just want it to end.

Be patient, play tight, be aware of your position at the table, try to get in cheap pots, always know your outs and the pot odds.
