Freeroll Tournament Play
I'm an amateur poker player who's working on a project. My goal is to work my way up from nothing to $100 by playing Freerolls
. I've found this to be awesome and kind of exhausting at the same time.
I feel like this goal of mine is very rewarding because I'm learning what/what not to do in tournaments. I've been studying play style and finding that poker is almost more about the players than the actual hands that you play. So I've been focusing on exploiting my opponents weaknesses and playing for the most part premium hands like pocket pairs and high suited connectors. Lately, I have been lucky enough to make it close
to the final table, so most of the time I'm cashing out with small amounts like 5 cents-25 cents or bubbling. Which is great because I've seen my game improve immensely. However, I've never
made it to a final table before. I don't want to make the small amounts anymore. I want to win the $10+ prizes that 1st place winners get! Are there any secrets yall might have for an amateur that might give me a competetive edge?
