Hello All I have been using this trick to help me make it to final table but i was wondering if anyone had a mathmatical formula that would make it easier than my guessing... so what ive been doing for AMC 10$ freerolls
is on avergae if u have 15-40k u can make it to final table
but anyone know a formula to figure that out on any tourney other than just playing them alot and using a overall roundabout way

never thought of the maths of it. I'm adopting an ultra-aggressive strategy for these freerolls. Just like I would play a hyperturbo one. I believe that would be the fastest way for me to have a 10 - 20$ bankroll and can start playing the 1$ single table ones..

I went through the same thing on a different site. I built a decent BR from freerolls, but now I have almost lost it all. On, the plus side, after stepping back and looking at it, I know exactly what I did wrong and hopefully will not repeat the same mistake again.

I think it depends on the initial stack and the blinds speed.
The most freerolls has a large number of fish, and they will call hands that a player who knows a little bit of poker theory wouldn't call, and the result is: some time you will be caught by a fish. So, a prefer to play very tighty on the beginning, calling shoves only with AA, KK, AK, QQ.
With a bigger stack you can smash the fish of easily, don't taking many risks. But the agressivity must increase with the progression of the tournament, don't forget it. Blinds are your biggest enemy on freerolls, where the blinds duration usually is 5 min, 10 in the best cases.

So I just got bumped out of an ACR 10$ free roll . The guy who took me out started shoving all-in from the very go and continued unless someone else had pushed prior to him . Even then he would call 90% of the time and sure enough by the 3 level he had a 15 thou chip stack . He got me and 1 other player , I had a-q the other had j-10 and the villain had k-4 and wouldn't you know he smash k-4 on the flop !
I know this isn't the right way to play but is there really a right way in the beginning of a free roll . Eventually hell have to tighten up right ? I waited almost 15 mins. to play 1 hand and get smoked by a donk , blahh .
Are the free rolls set to eliminate players at a faster pace ? Do they have an algorythum that they use to move the tourney faster by rewarding aggressive players .
And what about the way I see a player with tops on the flop only to get turned for 2 pr by a worst calling hand a lot ? Maybee I just see so many hands that it is common ? Any thoughts ?

Just put volume and sooner or later, you can score.

At freerolls, you have to be lucky 4x or above to go deep.

if youd like to know the average chip stack for the final table that is easy in any tourney. Just take the (#of players registered X starting chip stack)/(9).
For full ring tourney. 6 man tourney just divide by 6 instead of 9. This will give you the average chip stack for each player at the final table in any tournament. It works for the freerolls too, usually they have anywhere from 500-750 people entered and i think you start with 1500 chips on ACR. So i.e. if 600 people started the freeroll it would be 600x1500 = 900,000 chips. divide by 9 = 100,000 chip stack avg at the final table. Works for any tourney and thats a good way to know if you have enough to blind yourself out around 25 or so people left if you have say 150,000 chips. BTW i think that is a good strategy to avoid coolers late in the tournament becasue i have ran into a few when ive had over 100,000 chips late and end up not making the final table because of it. So probably better to just let yourself blind out until you are ITM in the freerolls at least, i wouldnt' blind myself out of any real money game though. Now just to make it TO the final table, thats a little more difficult becasue you don't have to have the avg chip stack. I mean you could just go on a guess that you need HALF the avg chip stack and therefore just divide the avg by 2 once you obtain that #, or if you think you can make it to the final table on 1/4 the avg divide by 4. In any case thats going to be a guessing game mostly becasue some people around the final table play tighter and some play much looser so its hard to say how high they would let the blinds get (or how many BBs they would wait to push on) or how aggressive they would play. Good luck in the future.

For chillin villain -
There is no algorythm they use to make the freerolls go quicker, nor do they reward bad players. The fact in your case is that your hand wasnt that strong to begin with, You were up against all live cards and against 2 players you had a slight edge, maybe 38% to win the hand depending on the suites. But even if you did have a great hand, say AA to any other hand you are no more than a 10-1 favorite at best, So 1 out of 10 times the villain is going to win the hand. The reason it seems like they are rewarded is becasue they are playing more hands and have the chipstack to do so, therefore when they get in with live cards it seems like they just can't lose when really its just mathematics. They usually aren't that far behind. Even suited connectors (i.e. 6c7c) is 25% to win vs any overpair. When people refuse to fold it turns the game into more luck than skill. Watch a high stakes tournament and you will see that probably 1 out of every 25 hands goes to showdown, just because those players understand their odds and choose to play only when they have good pot odds/implied odds/ % to win the hand. Anytime you play a freeroll be ready for there to be plenty of gamblers, This is why you want to pick your spots very carefully, not getting in against 3 people preflop for all your chips or more. You want to limit your moves to the people you know WILL fold or will actually play poker with some sort of sense. Good luck in future games and pick your spots more carefully so you have a better % to get your chipstack increased and keep you in the tournament.

thank you subdylzep

i agree with you in live but freerolls if u can fold to final table even if u wont still be chip leader sitting out into money is better than busting..
Also Chip leader Means nothing even in heads up I have had 20% of the money and came back to win
