So I've been studying a lot and before I study I warmup on wsop App on the AppStore and I've been losing ALOT... I think it's because People don't have any logic and it's really nothing like actual poker. People will raise Pre flop 3x the pot with a 7-2 not making this up. And whenever I do get a good hand on the flop People will decide to chase cards all the way till the river and when they get real lucky on the river the beat me....

I Understand it's just a free app but it's really discouraging my study session and I'm not sure if this app is like actual poker. Is this really how it is in the casino?

I always feel like playing for real money is the only way you can get people to play in a serious manner. If you enjoy playing for play chips though, the best strategy would just be to tighten up your range of hands and play them aggressively. So only play your top broadways like AJ, KQ etc; and not hands like 86o as these will get you into trouble. If you play your top cards well, then even if people suck out on you, you'll still be ahead in the longrun.

Your study session should not be in this type app. or game (IMHO), it is not going to provide you with much of anything, not to realistic.

Great poker books (on tournaments or cash), can help, Winning One Hand at a Time - 3 volumes is what I recommend for you with illustrations from 3 known online pros.

Watch video instruction, search online, and find a coach or mentor that provides you exactly what you are looking for.

If there are specific poker questions, please continue to post them in this forum for others to discuss and provide you alternatives to try.

Good luck.... Al
