Other than this website, what other websites are the best for free training etc? I've also been reading over at 2+2, but I would like some more websites to use on a regular basis, to go alongside the books that I am reading.

If you play a lot at FT, you can get Cardrunner weeks for free! Look up Totally free poker Training.

THere are some 'free trials' out there with some of the poker training sites (vids.). Some will require that you use a credit card to leave a deposit which is then refunded at end of trial if you choose to not sign-up.

There's a couple links on this site - a few vids. from "DragTheBar" & some info. regarding TournamentPokerEdge (a newer site that has great reviews with some excellent MTT players posting vids. on it... not alot of content yet but very well worth looking into imo.... not 'free'.. but not expensive either and no membership fee.. just a monthly fee instead).

What is it that you're looking for?

I have found the FT Poker Accademy really helpful in focussing on basics concepts needed for solid play for beginners.

It must be far more important to pick a training site that's a close fit to your particular interests and level of play than to be concerned over a price difference of a few bucks per month. For anyone who plays a decent amount, even at micros, assuming the training is effective in the first place, it's pretty hard not to raise your win rate by $at least 20 or $30 per month.

Just check youtube or pokertube, or google the learning videos. There are so many of them, i would try the free samples, for instance pokerxfactor, or here dragthebar.com. Have fun !

Lol, I just PM'd F Paulsson yesterday looking for very much the same thing....For those of you who haven't heard of him, he is one of our pokjer gurus as well as being a mod.

There is an online site called notedpokerauthority.com It is very informative and knowledgable. There were some very interesting points that I was interested in that were susinctly and thouroughly answered. I would recommend it to anyone. It may be just the tiniest bit hard to navigate at first, but well worth the effort! I had trouble HERE at first too, lol.

Hope you all find it as interesting and informative as I have.

By the way....if anyone has any knowledge of an eBook that is anygood, I'd be interested in that.:hello:

By the way, pokerorifice is no slouch either!!

PokerbytheBook.com is a pretty solid ebook. Volume one is good for beginners and the second volume gets into more advanced play. Overall it is structured well and has a lot of good content.

Is notedpokerauthority.com, free i joined the site then discovered you paid to go further on.

Can you navigate what appears to be some good stuff without paying, the stuff I could read was also for free on Cardrunners etc.
