Seems like you have a big enough stack to do whatever you want. How many people are left? I would sit tight and wait for the big hands, and bet what you have and let go of what you dont. Everyone will be looking to double up through you. Just play tight solid poker and you will make it, dont let the big stack effect your play. Pretend your stack is avg like everyone elses.

BTW Good luck.

Nice job. By the time I got there, you were 7th with 251 left.

Looks like you got your ticket, now it's about bragging rights.

Once you hit hand-for-hand, no point in timing out, just fold. Timing out just delays the game uselessly.

Good luck !!!!
-----------------------
edit: oops, guess they won't even let you play for the bragging rights. Once you have a ticket, it's all over. Everyone else finished # 1 too.

I think those 10k person free rolls are so stupid, it only gets you an entry to a 30k person freeroll. Talk about a looooong tourney!

I remember bubble time in a satellite when I went all in with AA. The BB called with AA and hit a flush. I am more patient these days.

I think those 10k person free rolls are so stupid, it only gets you an entry to a 30k person freeroll. Talk about a looooong tourney!

I built my initial stack playing the FT freerolls; it took 14 months to turn $1.81 into $400, and most of the first $100 came from the 2700 player freerolls. I don't think I could do it again under their new format. I played my way into one of the Round 2 tournaments, not worth the time. And the 7500 player games are tougher; they tripled the entry but only doubled the pay line, so it's harder to make the money.

My suggestion to someone trying to build a bankroll on FT from scratch these days would be stick to the multi-winner satellite freerolls: the Daily Dollar at 6:25 EST and the Ferguson sat at 11:10. They pay off in tournament dollars, but you can use them to enter high return, low buy-in satellites like the Daily Dollar .25 + .05 (pays 1 of 4 players). If you're patient and wait for a hand, these are hard to lose. Before long you have enough tournament dollars to buy into the 1.00 +.10 and 2.00 + .20 tournies.

Congrats rufcut68! :rock:

I'll see you Sun as I have a spot as well. I'm not too wild about the increased fields @ the FT freerolls but it's an opp for me to practice/refine different strategies in an tournament that didn't cost me anything to enter. So, for me the time = benefit as I'm gaining more experience/practice & increasing the scope of my poker skills.

I'm currently a micro-player so I'll enter the Daily Dollar (2015 ET/515PM PT) & the Ferguson (0130 ET/1030PM PT) when my objective is to increase my bankroll.

Congrats and Good Luck to you bazerk.
I am trying out new strategies and learning how to play MTTs with Larger fields. It's Definitely Differnet. Super Micro here.. I am going to the 1c/2c tables. Maybe I can get something going. If not it will be back to the sng's only got 50 dollars to play with so looks like it may be a long haul.

I'm just curious, I've heard people talk about the Ferguson multiple times. Is it the Daily Dollar rebuy?

the Ferguson isin't the Daily Dollar but it is only $1 to enter it. it is played around 01:00 server time and it is a different type of game each night/ morning.
If memory serves.
Hope that helps
See you at the felt.

439th/19,665

Blinds = $1.2K & $2.4K Antes = $300
Ac.6c MP (~$18K)
3d.8d CO -1 (~558K) --> raised
Ah.Ad Button (~70K) --> all in

Flop = 6d.Qs.9d
Turn = 5d
River = 2s

Not so bad for me to be KOed, shortest stack @ table but for the A.A...aaagggh.

I think more information is needed, but, if you think you have enough chip, then play it as you like.
