Hi there,

Few times while playing tournaments I got KK when I was BB in deep stacks.. player from cutoff raises ,SB reraise I did 3bet raise ,cuttoff guy folded and SB shoves.. In this situation I was almost sure he has AA.But I always paid allin and I was right ..The opponent has AA and I was busted..

Is ok to fold here when you have feeling that opponent holds AA ? I'm wondering if professional players would ever fold allin holding KK?

Man, I'm not professional, these hands are hard, the table feeling is very important, you folded well, I believe that a professional would pay the all-in, of course much depends on the time of the game.
Someone with more experience that tell us?

I don't think very many people fold KK pre flop, pros or amateur. its hard to know 100% if your opponent has aces so folding KK is madness lol

You said you were deep stack so I don't see any reason to fold KK. But it also depends on the information you have about your opponent. Is he a very tight player? Then you should fold. Otherwise call.

I have a hard time folding KK. However, I've done it when I know the player that's 3 or 4 betting. If it's a freeroll or low stakes online tournament, or cash game - I'm not folding.

Friend of mine played the main event 5 or so years ago. Half hour in, the scenario you described happened and mucked KK. He ended up cashing for one of minimal amounts but, he would've been up against AA and lost.

So yes, it's ok to fold.

It depends on the game and the opponent .... and stage of the tourney. Generally speaking, though, I'm not folding KK pre

There are times to fold KK

Not only have I folded KK. I have folded AA.

The situation was in a tourney with the bubble coming up. AA and KK are great but lets face it. It is just one pair. Some bozo goes all in with small suited connectors and can hit two pair or a set or a flush or a straight. I want to get some money out of the tourney, especially a freeroll where I am trying to get started with a bankroll on some site.

so yeah, I believe there are times to fold big pockets

I wouldn't fold KK, Too many people shove with AK, AQ, AJ, QQ, JJ or worse. Sure you can lose on the flop but chances are you are getting in with the best hand and you'll win a nice pot.

Assuming everyone has AA when you get KK is not the most profitable way to play the the second best hand in the game preflop.

Pre flop I dont narmally but in crunch sithuation in a big tourney I have folded AA also because I was sitting good to finish in top five . So I wanted to come in top five first then play my natural game.It depends on the situation You shove with 2 7 also to steel the blind If you feel rest will fold........

+1

There are times to fold. The best odds your really going to get is about a 80% favorite and that is over the long term. Meaning you still lose 1 out of 5. If there is a multi way pot, those odds drop.

I might not fold in the beginning or middle of a tournament, at a bubble or final table, if your not at risk, it certainly can be considered.

I don't think about AA always but sometimes you can be sure by opponent reraising and 4beting that he holds probably that hand..

if 2 handed I never fold KK PRF ad try to get all-in PRF from opp, it's the second best hand. Fearing that you opp has that 0.0something % of chanse to have the only ahnds that beats you is leaving you nowhere. With this logic you can fold any set, weak street/flush.
I get that it infuriating to get a call from JTo and lose but still

I think it depends on the type of tournament and the stage of the tournament, at the start of a tournament i do not like to risk being left out of a tournament by going allin preflop with KK. But in the other stages of the tournament, I analyze the opponent (if tight if loose) and its stack to fold or call.
