villian is holding As 9c hero holds Kc 3c In event 4 clubs hit the board does hero win because he is holding 2 clubs or does villian win because he has better kicker with Ace . I assume kicker means nothing unless both your hole cards are clubs?

Did you mean Ac9s? Then the villain wins. In holdem the best 5 card hand wins from any combination from your hole cards and community cards.

with 4 clubs on the board, the highest club wins the pot, villain has 9 of clubs. Hero holds highest club and that is the King of Clubs ....hero wins the pot

Best 5 card hand wins always.

Ace will ALWAYS win in a situation like this. Say there's an Ace of clubs and 1 person has the King of Clubs and the other has the Queen of Clubs with 4 clubs on the board. In this situation, the player with the King of Clubs takes it down because he has the second highest kicker and so on.

If you both have only a flush, then hero wins. Highest club. If there was a Ac on the board hero would still win (goes to the 2nd highest club).

But, if the villain had a straight flush then he would win. Say the board had 7c, 8c, 10c, Jc, & Xx, then the villain would win with a straight flush (7c,8c,9c,10c,Jc).

I assume kicker means nothing unless both your hole cards are clubs?
Only the best five cards count. So the non flush ace kicker means nothing.

The kicker is only playing for high card, one pair, two pair, three of a kind. So your question was As 9c vs Kc 3c and four clubs on the flop who is gonna win the hand. Only the best five cards count in this situation. So the non flush ace kicker is not in play so it means nothing.

A flush only counts at all if it's complete- 5 cards. 4 of a suit or in a row is nothing.

If you both have nothing, highest card wins.

You both have a flush, so the one with the highest card in their flush wins.

The hero wins- king high flush vs. 9 high flush.

The kicker is meaningless because it's not part of the 5 card hand.

Like you wrote it, A is not a club here so Kc will win over Villain's 9c in this flush.
