hello every one

So i finally decided to make my first deposit its going to be 100$ on PS

I read on 1 post about BRM, but not all clear about it. Was wondering if someone

would have a site for BRM or any tips on how i could make my money last has

long has possible, because its also going to be my last deposit.

Not much of a gambler but i enjoy the game, so please any pointers would be

appreciated.

to be a winning player you are going to have also spend time off the table learning the game. the poker blueprint is a good book to get started. poker is a game of skill that can be learned. best of luck to you.

since you are in the market for tips from strangers about how to make your poker money last, i would suggest the book Professional No-Limit Hold'em Vol. 1 as a good starting place. of course there are lots of similar books. also you can find videos that are very helpful, just look for reviews of the sites which offer them.

If you know what BRM stands for (what the initials mean) then just do an internet search for that.

it' a bit hard to explain without know what u play, which limit, structure and last but not least without info on your multi-tabling.

Generically with a discreet tabling (6-10x) I assume something like 150x (BI) for Sng normal, 300x for Sng turbo, 200/300x (even more) for mtts.
The principle is: less tables u play less BR you need for, turbo structures (sngs either mtts) have more swings because of the higher variance (for the larger field) so they need more BR.
Increasing the limit, the BR should increase too-

Honestly I dunno too much for the HU play, sry (HU cash game HS is high variance, 100% :)).

For the cash games I leave attached a table which might be useful to understand how to plan a correct BRM. However I think the below BRM table is pretty aggressive so, to a beginner i'd suggest a safer approach (i may add 20 stacks per level). And avoid cashout in the first 2 steps-
To have a cash reward is a good incentive but at that limit is too low and, taking out money means to wait longer to build a safe BR to the level up

Overall i feel to advice that you should play how do u feel safe. Players prefer a more solid approach others a BRM more aggressive to reach higher stakes early.
To dont go broke a solid management is better.

Good luck bro

I'd go with this and a book No-Limit Texas Hold'em: The New Players Guide to Winning Poker's Biggest Game by Tom Mcevoy and Brad Daugherty. People complain the book is too basic, but I say whatever.

thanks for the stairway to high stakes rdk4k. I will probably stay at nl2 for a while since i am in no hurry to play high stakes for now.

I will probably play very low stakes sit and gos to start of with. I usually do good in them

and will be playing some micro tournys has well

Perhaps you should play some tournements for a low buy in. I think you cant make seriously money with sit and gos. I myself dont make a deposite so far but loose all my money at sit and gos 75$ at 888 poker. I know i have won the money due to freerolls and sit and gos and that the chance to win a tournement is bad, but there is a chance to make really money.

Definitely do some reading about the game be it theory (any David Sklansky book) or practical (Dan Herrington books are my favorite even if they are a tad bit dated) to get a better feel for what's going on the table. Also stick with the microstakes if you are worried spending all of your deposit. It's a slow grind but you'll definitely get your money's worth.

So locha you dont think i should play SandGos
some one said on another post about some kind of Sand Go that half the players are in the money so if i can find them on PS i will have a go at them

I think the double or nothing sit and gos are good for some easy money. But i dont think you can win lots of money there. I have won many double or nothing matches but also loose some. In the long run you can win some money there. But i prefer the knockout tornements, there are much more interesting.

If you end up playing cash games I definitely recommend grabbing a copy of BlackRain79's book: "Crushing the Microstakes"

You simply do not play the same Poker at the [low] micros like you would in other levels. I'm reading it for the second time myself and actually just cashed my first payout yesterday :')

Sounds like you plan on losing money if you are worried about "how long it will last" :p. Study up on Chris Ferguson's BRM videos if you can find them or have access to them. Lotta good info in those FTP Academy vids. If not, Pokerspace offers free schooling and testing along with a bunch of others. $100 should be adequate for a good start but $100 is also often the min withdrawal. Just don't sit down with more than 2-5% on the line and even less for large tourney buy-ins and you should be alright.

would have a site for BRM or any tips on how i could make my money last has

long has possible,
