villain is a fishy loose player closer to a calling station than a LAG (i did see him raising sometimes before, some fish just don't do it).
did i have the pot-odds to call his turn raise?
after the flop the pot is: €0.41
i bet and it's €0.70
he raises and it's €1.30
i have to call €0.31 in a €1.30 pot.
: 4.19:1 (is this right?)
i need 9 outs on the river to make a +EV call:
i have 4Q for the nut straight, 3A for top double pair (shall i count them? they do improve my hand but i'm still behind a straight or a set), 2K for a full house, 2T for a full house.
what about the implied odds? would have i shoved any river card? guess not. was i pot committed? i had €0.49/€1.44= 34% of my stack invested before the call, 55% after the call. i might have called a shove anyway i guess.
i guess i was wrong in not 3bet-shoving the turn. tho, he was potcommitted and quite a calling station, i had no fold equity whatsoever
and my betsizing? i should probably have bet the pot and not 3/4 of pot on the flop
biggest mistake was i didn't really ask myself what he had, let's see:
he called a UTG+1 raise from the BB
what could he have?
22-JJ, A2-AQ, K8+, Q8+, J8+, T8+
pokerstove says i'm 65% favourite over his range
he check/calls on a super wet flop
what could he have?
44-JJ, A9-AQ, K8+, Q8+, J8+, T8+
still 65% favourite over his range
check/raised a turn card who paired the board
99-JJ, A9-AQ, K9+, Q9+, J9+, T9
now it's a 49-51% coinflip
check/called my shove on the river (river card really scary)
well i had the nuts and shoved, his range didn't quite matter now
so basically i think i played less bad than he did, made mistakes but had the odds to call his turn raise
and got lucky on the river, which is really nice but outside my control
do you want to know his hole cards or that's ok?
looking fwd to your replies
