Played 1/2$ cash game at crown casino in melbourne.

Started with 50$ dollars left with 80$. Really enjoyed it! It was my first live game i made a few mistakes. They seem to play really fast. For example i had 44 raised 3 bb from middle position. Pretty much a check fest until the river card which was a 4. I accidently went all in when it wasnt my turn.

Made a fool of myself but really enjoyed it. Been playing poker only 3 months online and happy i left the table 30$ up.

Will be back again

Haven't played there in a while, and it's been even longer since I played $1-$2, is the rake still horrendous and the buyins still capped really small?

If you've got the money, the $2-$4 game allows you to at least make a full 100BB buyin and I think the rake is slightly more reasonable too.

Also whatever level you play, be prepared for a standard open raise to be more like 5BB.

Yes it is so much fun playing in a live casino. I don't get to do it often (i live in NY) but sometimes I play at Magic City Casino in Miami. The first time I played there I was so nervous and felt like I was going to make a big fool of myself, but everyone was really nice and it was so much fun. Now I've played tourneys there a bunch of times. I won $250 on a high hand in Dec. YAY

I wasnt sure about the rake as i said it seemed really really fast. Wish they slowed down a little. I had to pay 5 bucks when i first sat down. It seemed like everyone limped 2 dollas. Not much pre flop raising
