Now that i reached $30, I began to start playing cash games at ft. I only one tabled because I wanted to focus on the players at the table. I managed to break even at 190 hands with my best hole cards being TT. Then, finally, I get aces on the co. FINALLY! Guy UTG+1 raises 3x BB I 3-bet to 10xBB. He shoves I call. QQ vs AA and he hits on flop. So when I finally get my monster, I lose. Very Frustrating start. I just stopped cuz i sensed i would go on tilt. had -$.93 session. If I won hand, woulda been up a dollar. I definitely thought some donk would be pushing with ace rag or top pair but no one I played with did that. Is this just my luck or will there be a time when I'll make money off these types of donks?

Trust me you will find plenty of bad players in micro cash games. I will say that if you are coming from freerolls the standard of play is a little higher but you will find lots of fish.

Pocket aces aren't a 100% lock. Your a big favorite but 20% of the time the villian wins. The nice thing about cash games is that when the villian sucks out you are not eliminated. Reload and keep playing. If he really is a fish you will get his money.

The standard of play varies at FT I've found - sometimes you get some incredible donks (who inevitably suck out on you) whilst other times the standard is pretty good. You did nothing wrong on the hand you described - just keep playing a solid TAG game and you should be OK.

yeah this is why most people multitabling these games, much less boring and quicker profit, and less frustrating when someone sucks out on you, try adding a table at a time until you cope with more maybe? Anyways you got your money in good so good move.

Yeah, I would really suggest multitabling. At, first I was like you, but since, I started multitabling I've been doing much better. The more hands the less variance, so if your a good player, you will end up coming out with more of a profit.

every hand and every table is different by wathing the way others play is a good thing to do... when the time is right a check raise will bring them down. If they think you are weak , its also good to mix up your style of play so that you cant be read easily...smiles... good luck at the tables

It really isn't at 15 BIs. Which SnGs are you playing. If you are goingto play a 2 SnG then there might not be any harm playing 2NL. If you are playing the 30c Satys at FT then keep going with those.

im actually playing HU Sng for $1.20. The rake kills and i understand that but i do have rakeback. A couple weeks ago i won 15/16 and then after that variance kicked in like a b*** but i still profit on them. The CC freerolls i just started playing so ill just wait until i reach $40 for 2nl then. Mybe even more tbh

i think $30 is definately fine to start 2NL, unless you get a sick 15 buyin losing streak which is unlikely, but theres no proper bankroll managment at 2NL you either can beat it and will make a reasonable bank roll or you arent a winning player and you will lose money no matter what your bankroll is.

Just realized I was playing with you for a few hands, and I was at your table for your KK hand. You could have saved some money on that hand. You should have figured he had A rag and hit an A on the turn.

I just started playing cash games seriously myself today. 4 tabled 2nl for 305 hands. Finished plus $4.15. There are so many bad players at this level, fortunately my hands held up most of the time.

My name is the same at FT as it is here, matt0216.

At 2nl, you should never expect that somebody will throw away A rag to a C bet. People just don't like to fold. Plus, you had to think he may have had A4, A8, or A9, giving him a pair on a flop and two pair on the turn.

Thanks matt, probably should have taken more time to think about it. Past three days I've gotten around 600 hands 2AA 1KK and 1 TT. Its frustrating when you have to play with all these raises all ins and 3 bets with AT, KJ, 98s etc. a lot of sideline watching. I'll look out for ya next time matt.

just an update 100 hands in an hour and I got all my losses back this week plus $.40. won with AA>98s with 93K flop. But the big winner was 88 with 7 people seeing flop. Flop is 885. QUADS!!!. i check to see if anyone bets. no. then turn is a 2. utg bets, mid position shoves, I call, utg shoves, I call. 88>22>J5. Finally I get lucky and run into some donks.
