Random Ordering of Heads-Up Tables: Or, more precisely, random ordering of all like-tables with only 1 player seated. So this also works for 6-max and full ring tables. Basically, everyone will see a different order of tables with only 1 player instead of the former alphabetical ordering, so no table is any "better" than another (no more fighting for the tables that start with the letter "A").
Apparently in the latest update Full Tilt has enabled random ordering of any tables with one player sitting there.

This is supposedly to stop people fighting for the tables that start with the letter "A".

Why were people so keen on those tables?

Were they the ones where the inexperienced fishy players were most likely to join?

Or are Full Tilt resolving a problem which wasn't actually a problem in the first place?

It was actually a pretty big problem for the HU tables. Basically the issue was that the lobby always displayed available tables (with 1 person on them) in alphabetical order, so those at tables which came 1st alphabetically had a better shot at some random fish taking a seat at the table.

I've had people literally sit on on my "good" named tables and try to get me to leave the table so they could have it. In other words they didn't want to play me (or to play me any more) but they wanted me to leave the table.

Today's update is supposed to fix this.

Which is no good for Full Tilt, presumably, because if you're not playing any hands then you're not generating any rake...

Exactly. Two guys sitting out arguing over who should leave the table is not doing anyone any good.
