Is it even worth it to try going for fancy bluffs at low/microstakes? For example, I try making bluffs holding the nut flush blockers on 3 suited card boards and I end up getting called down by top pair an annoying amount of the time.

Just my opinion...but for the most part fancy plays at micros is wasted money. BUT, you have to, as always, know who you're playing against. There are some savvy players at micro and a cool play 'may' work given the right situation.

Yet, for the most part you're wasting bets (not betting because they'll call anyways) or spewing chips (trying to bluff when they will call anyways).

The answer is, just like about always, it depends. But rule of thumb, Fancy Play Syndrome (FPS) equals losing money.

Cheers

At the micro stakes, you can do just fine playing for value. people will call you down with all kinds of weak hands, so you don't need to resort to FPS
