If you're asking for the best way to avoid going on a downswing, the answer is to just improve your ROI. However, that's easily said than done obviously.

If you want to know how to deal with going on a downswing, you have to have a strong mental game. Dealing with negative variance is a part of poker, but if you're confident you're a long-term winning player than its no big deal.

Downswings suck. Staying calm and staying with the plan is hard.

The only job you could have a negative pay check.

You cannot avoid a downswing, especially in tournament poker.
All you can do is staying in the game with a large enough bankroll (or a nice cash flow if you have a good income) and playing well without beeing results-orientated or tilted.

Its important to follow strict bankroll management in the course of a downswing. If youre a tournament player and youve lost too many buy ins then maybe its time to drop down in tournament stakes. If your a cash player and uve lost too many buy ins maybe its time to drop down in stakes. Keep your composure, analyse your next moves and then restart.

Downswings are part of the game, but i think u tillt easy, and go for bigger buyins trying to finish with a profit at the end of the day, but u actually go even deeper in the hole, so i would say to better stand the swings, do some of this things:
1. Take a brake, 1-2 days even more if u have to, to try to turn your luck and to avoid burning out.
2. Always play with a small amount of your bankroll, i would recommend 1/10, and always keep to the plan, if u lose that 1 of 10th, shut down your PC of if u play live, stand up and go home, u can only do worse from there on.
3. Good and strict bankroll management.

Variance is part of poker and so downswings are most likely a result of this. Taking a short break 8-10 days may be worthwhile, a lot of the time downswings happen from overplaying and being reults-orientated. Tightening up your BRM may be the key and so maybe cut your maximum buy-ins in half. Studying is also underrated in downswings, it can give you a different perspective on poker and hence enhance your game.
