I'm currently reading 'Easy Game' by Andrew Seidman and he's continually updating the book, he's currently on Volume 3 as poker evolves and the advice he gives becomes outdated he released updated volumes so my question is, what/where are the key fundamentals or major changes in NL holdem in the past 5/10 or even 15 years, can someone give me a brief overview of the evolution of the game? What kind of plays would've been suggested 5/10/15 years ago that would be laughed at now?

Previously (5-10 years ago), where there was not much quality content on websites, communities, videos, you had a good base to play poker reading good books.

It happens that nowadays the frequency of information and contents is immense in the internet. There are lots of good and updated content from experienced players that you can find on the internet and communities (CC).

But I believe the best way for you to evolve in poker nowadays in a shorter amount of time is with coaching classes from top players in the market, which are very lucrative.
