Maybe you have had an experience where you're going to play live against players you've never seen before.The moment you enter the room, arguably you're bringing your table image with you. Are you mindful?
Whether you're staring off a session as a LAG or a TAG, what are your cues to mix it up? The big danger in being a nit in a tourney is not playing enough hands, and then of course the blinds sneak up, and your watchful opponents will most likely steal your blinds.
On the other hand, too aggressive presents other opportunities.
Good players will figure out your range pretty quick.
IMO, I think the mind space ought to be courage and conviction: know what you want to do and then execute. Adjust as necessary.
