Ok so here it is ....Lately in live poker ( doing well actually which surprised me) ...Im having a huge problem identifying situations where my opponent is drawing dead . Its like a nightmare scenario where I have all my own outs calculated ...I get super tunnel vision .. And although I typically have a decent read ( Drawing hand ,TPTK,Set,Rawkets ..etc).... Complete donkeys Seem too know when they are drawing dead right away ... Are able too call out vocally cards that beat my hand without hesitation on real life fast live tables and im still kind of like did I win ? ....Not so much with lock hands but marginal spots mostly . Am I too reliant on software too spoon feed me info and if so any ideas on how too actually become good at that sort of thing? I have made some major improvements in my play but I got a sort of a mental block where I am so busy calculating im not making the obvious observations in real time .

Anyhow if anyone else has experienced this I could use some advice and ways too too improve in this area .

It sucks too make what you feel like was a good play ..run it through HM2 and somewhat confirm it . But feel braindead when you shove on the flop or turn and cards start flying. Especially in tourney situations .

All thoughts are welcomed and encouraged ....even hard hitting ones that I might not like .

Thank you Cards Chat.

Usually guys that know they're drawing dead only know that because they went in pre with a speculative hand that missed the flop. Doesn't hurt at that point to take a stab at what you were holding. If they're right it will stick in your mind, if they're wrong your brain just dismisses it.

If you're playing really nitty poker ~1 in 20 hands you are also very easy to read...ie big pockets and AK, maybe AQ.
