Effect of reading on poker

I am playing Since last year and my game was good before one month. I have confidance on my game and i finshed 6-7 tourney in the money out of 10. Very good on Single table SnG and Also in cash game.
After that i want to improve my game so then i started reading on poker stratergy on cc forum, poker strategy forum and poker school online articles.
I changed my game acording to stratergies but it was very bad exprience.
I loose my confidance now fearing from playing.
Please suggest me what to do.

This.. Perhaps you tried to change too many aspects of your game at once. Try going back to what you know, then incorporating new strategies one at a time.

The late poker author and coach, Barry Tannenbaum used to warn his students that when working on their games they would get worse at first, but much better in the long run. If you believe the changes you're considering to be good ones, then commit to working on them. In time, you'll see results.

One caveat: Don't try to do everything in the books at once. Improve on one technique before moving on to the next.
