Earning a place in online poker

Hi All,

I'm thinking of a strategy to play poker online stage by stage. I am almost at the bankroll point of going from Freeroll to Micro and was thinking of learning poker by not putting any money in so I have to earn a place.

Freeroll to Micro, Micro to Small, etc.

Does this make any sense or do you think I could pick up some bad habits along the way. Any advice would be very helpful.
