Don't slow-play this, then?

I bubbled out of the money on this nightmare last night.

I flop the miracle straight, and thinking it well-disguised, I check. All that does is give my opponent the chance to turn his flush.

If I would have shoved after the flop I imagine he would have folded. Which obviously keeps me alive but doesn't seem to be taking full advantage of flopping a straight.

And he might have been so confused on an all-in bet there he thinks I'm overplaying a pair of 9s, perhaps called me and -- well, I guess would have still caught his flush.

And would you have folded on the river to his re-raise all-in? I knew the flush was a possibility, but thought it more likely he was holding a set or top two pair. In the future if there are three of a suit on the board should I just presume the flush and bail?

It's also becoming apparent to me that slow-playing anything other than the nuts isn't worth its trouble, at least in micro-stakes MTTs.

Shove on the flop, or be ready to fold the flushed board on the turn. That board is SO draw heavy that so many cards can come that will make you have no idea where you stand in the hand. At least try and make the others get out or make a math error in calling poorly.

Fold or shove preflop. Especially that close to the bubble. I would have folded.

Bet the flop for value IMO then get it all in on pretty much any turn card if you just get called.

I hate shoving the flop because (unless we've got some special read) we rarely get called, we give up tons of value and being scared of flush draws isn't a good enough reason to do it.

As played I think we have to call the river - we've under-repped our hand, the villain's flat call on the turn doesn't really scream of a flush and we beat all sorts of set / two pair / top pair hands.

Plus this.

Plus this: Post the hand here next time.
