I bubbled out of the money on this nightmare last night.
I flop the miracle straight, and thinking it well-disguised, I check. All that does is give my opponent the chance to turn his flush.
If I would have shoved after the flop I imagine he would have folded. Which obviously keeps me alive but doesn't seem to be taking full advantage of flopping a straight.
And he might have been so confused on an all-in bet there he thinks I'm overplaying a pair of 9s, perhaps called me and -- well, I guess would have still caught his flush.
And would you have folded on the river to his re-raise all-in? I knew the flush was a possibility, but thought it more likely he was holding a set or top two pair. In the future if there are three of a suit on the board should I just presume the flush and bail?
It's also becoming apparent to me that slow-playing anything other than the nuts isn't worth its trouble, at least in micro-stakes MTTs.
