There was a massive thread on this the other week. Take a look.

If you hit the flop, against a very aggressive player is a good strategy, because it would have 3-bet. And against a very tight player without a made hand you can easily take away. But consider my prefix "very." :)

Would have some justification for Donkey Bet? (make a raise on flop wich one you are not pré-flop raise and you are not in position)

My input.

Some people like to donk in the beginning to get chips. They donk with thier group until they have enough chips. It is true a good bluff with the check raise when you see an ace after flop is good too. bluffing o.k., donking is'nt. The only way you tell the difference is you do'nt do it often. donks just keep doing it. A bluff is a well placed bet at your point when the dealer button could be a win.

It is usefull in a lot of situations:

- on an ugly flop, for example 678 (+ a flush draw) being the first one to place the bet will get you the pot

- also you can donk with a top pair, cause a lot of players also tend to overplay their cards and find it extremly difficult to fold their AK/AQ/AJ that missed, or their 2nd/3rd pairs so you can extract value in that way.

Sometimes it works on a wet board if you missed your draw and willing to take the risk with very high bet.But only do this against nits at the table. You can either do it on the turn or most practically the river especially when everyone checked.

Thats not very effective cuz there is a big possibility that player in LP will call with a strong hand so i dnt reccommend raise out of position unless you have very strong hand.

Its fun if your not caring for a day. but honestly its never a good strategy. noone ever says. I just won a tournament by going in preflop all day!
