happens that you have a great hand, a monster let´say AsKs,

then one opens raising 3x, 2 or 3 villains pay, and then one waits the flop

and the flops goes;

Qs-Ts-2s, one is happy to be the winner but obviously wants to take as much value as possible,

so one thinks, if bets everybody will fold, so one checks and everybody else checks,

then it comes the turn (and destroy one hands)

turn: (Qs-Ts-2s) - 4s, yes four spades in the board, no chance to bet but if so, everybody folds and the hand is dead, one wins but not what one could expect from a flush having A and no option of a full

great hand and a overwhelmed board

I'd fire another bet on the flop. Probably in the 4xBB ballpark. If someone stayed, say they hit their top pair, you can continue value betting. Otherwise your check seems odd and fishy.

With a hand like A-K, you should be raising or even re-raising preflop.

You don't really want to see a flop multi-way. However, you have flopped a flush in a multi way pot.

When you flop the flush, BET. Make it small enough to get calls. Around 1/2 pot should do the trick to keep people calling.

People will call you with two pair, top pair, sets, or even combo hands like top pair with a high spade like a king or queen. Some villains will even call with the flush draw only, with a king or queen in their hand.

If everyone folds, big deal. But people will call with dominated hands for sure. Which is good, because you extract more value from them.

That is all.

There are others on this forum who are better with hand analysis than I am, so hopefully they chime in as well.

What happened to your 'zero to hero' thread? I've revisited it and the last comment was from me. Are you continuing it at another thread? At any rate, I wish you luck and hope to see more.

Poker is about more than just the strength of your hand. You have to consider the situational context. The same hand doesn't always have the same EV. This can happen for various reasons. One of these is that the board can make it easier or harder to extract value.

You need to bet the flop in this scenario. anyone with top pair better will at least call your bet. You want to extract value from your hand now as another spade on the board kills your action.
