Before making the call we need to know what we are doing, whether we are betting on value or bluff.

For this it is necessary to know the style of the player, its tendencies and the size of the bet.

Otherwise you are playing by luck or level zero metagame, where you are only paying attention to your cards.
Making it totally predictable.

Do you think before the call?

I think before calling, when I bet or call, it's a very important decision in the game to make less mistakes in the game, but sometimes when the players go all-in and I have AA KK QQ card, I play all-in too!

to a lot of players it might seem that i do not but i do in a proper tournament. its just that i do my thinking before it is my turn so i already know what i'm going to do. i prefer keeping the tournament flowing (more hands means more chances to win)

I do almost the same. when it is my turn, I already have thought through several scenarios, that are about to come. And yes, 100% of the hands you don't play, are lost hands.

Yes! I think that is basic for a good call. Of course, your villains can using the same strategy that you. I believe that good players have got a varied game style, to confuse your opponents. Blef is part of my strategy too.

Exactly, this is basic and many do not know it.

Premiuns hands I'm also very aggressive pre-flop. But we do not need to analyze the situation and play logic.

It depends. Some calls are a must, like when holding AA or KK, but even with those monster hands you think it twice knowing that anything can happens (preflop if thats the case) post flop it is a different story ;)

Playing automatically is not very good because regular players will study you and exploit you to the fullest. It may be that until you realize this you've already lost a lot of money.

But either way the first step I agree with you, you must first discover the villain's style of play.

GOOD POST! There have been countless times I've acted without thinking and countless times I've looked back after losing and said , I can't believe I did that. I agree, every move should be thought out, analyzed, then made. Easier said then done, but am working on this.

The indicated one is to play about 25% of the hands approximately. If you open more than this, your situation is complicated. You're going to make a lot of mistakes and lose a lot of chips. This certain, at certain times will hit big pots but most of the time will go wrong.

In other posts I have already addressed this issue, Regardless of how many have in hand and come an all in you can not drop AA and KK pre.
But thinking is in relation to other hands, pre and post flop.
Using logic with other hands is the best solution.

You should think before you make any move in poker. Even with 7 2 off-suit I consider the situation before pressing the fold button.

I find that when i'm aggressively thinking my actions out taking time all the way to the buzzer every round, i'm at my best and i usually win. My gameplay tends to faulter when I rush realizing the mistake too little too late.

Been on a bit of a downswing so i'm taking timne out to analyze my holes. trying this sharkscope hud out now.

I play freerolls. Sometimes I am concentrating hard like when kids are at school or late at night when house is quiet. Sometimes I'm just clicking buttons without much thought beyond my hand.

If I ever pay to play it's 100% focus.

yes, if you doubt the power of your hand, it is better to think twice

I admit I do think too little. I usually decide how the hand will be play out and proceed with that game plan. Then if it doesn't work I get stuck or caught in bad situations

I’m always thinking about my next action, but a lot of the times I’m not thinking overly much about it at the time I make the bet/call/fold because I’ve already thought about what I’m going to do in different scenarios pre/post flop before action gets to me. Also a lot of it is almost a gut feeling kind of thing that I think comes with experience. Although that doesn’t mean I’m right all the time :p

not enough

i find myself not thinking about the value of each and every hand....it always cost me too.....so yes, indeed, each hand should be evaluated for its value......now all you have to do is know when the value is there and when its not.....i so wish i could get to the point where i do this each and every hand:cool:
