Hello CC members! I want to ask you. How to realise hands like AJ, A10, KQ, KJ in early/middle stages of tournaments? Some guides tells, that these are trash hands but its so hard to fold with cards like that. What do you think?

well i would consider those hands only suited, so:
AJ, A10 playable in most of positions
KQ, KJ - weak hands specially in UTG positions

Can play but depending on the particular situation!
Sometimes, when you know who your opponent is, you can play, but some times, for example when you out of position, you must fold with this cards.

Listen, play with pocket pairs better! You can strengthen to set or full-house.
And with card from your question you can get only pairs or sometimes flushes!

I ususally play but my play depends on my position and on other people. If someone raises a lot i dnt call if someone raises to 2 or 3 bb then i call to see the flop. But its very important not to call all in with those hands especcially if its an early stage of the tournament.:)

every time i get AJ or A10, someone get A with higher kicker, so i lose the hand. In the begining of the tournament, i probably play aggresive with this hand.

It depens what are you playing. Is it tournament or cash game etc. If its freeroll tournament then yes Im playing those hands, but if its 50$ money tournament then im usually folding these hands to avoid risky situations.

def depends on where i am, but sometimes you have to call,
the variance of the table also comes into factor for me.
regardless sometimes you have too especially when you have been card dead :)

Playing the Ace +

There are so many variables when playing A/K - A/10; position, the opposing players at the table especially if you've not played with them for any length of time, and whether or not to limp in or raise particularly again regarding your position. We've all experienced the "toss and hope" as well as the typical aggressive players. Most often, when I call with A2 - A/10 I will simply call regardless of position. With A/J - A/K I will bet or call according to my position. If I'm first to act I will simply call, mid table (with no previous raise) I will double the BB, and last to act I generally triple the BB.
I think any of us who have played for decades have many different ways of approaching every individual hand we're dealt.

Its depend on your position,if you on the button or small blind and everybody fold to you these hand are good for stealing the blind by raising 3bb.But dont raise OOP if in early stage.

What about all the straight possibilities.

I would say its not trash hands. I wouls say its more of troubled hands.

These hands are good if you know how to play with it in the first place.

I play all the cards in late positions and if i have more than average stack. in early positions i only play AJ cuz the rest arent profitable in ep. Also it depends what stage of the tournament is.

So do I in freerolls, at the very beginning hands like that means all in.

Foolish tactics, if you get called it will probably be by a better hand, and if not wow you won 30 chips.

You wouldn't last long enough to reach the cash playing like that in a CardsChat freeroll, I drool when I see players shoving early with hands like that.

Indeed, in early position, you should not go with these hands. But middling AB and CD is quite playable, against most aponenta. And if the blind is sitting on an answering machine in the position can be played within a very wide range.

I have never played in a Cardschat freeroll. If I could I wouldn't immediately move all-in with this type of cards :)
At any other freerolls you need every opportunity to get big stacked at the very beginning of the tournament. So it's understandable to move all in with KJ or higher. It's not a good idea when you really want to win :) But when you play against 8000 amateurs you need this advantage. Freerolls are opened every hour and you don't have to play like you bought in for $100.

trouble hands when deep stacked as can easily be dominated, maybe play them suited in position when you can enter the pot cheaply.

Later in tournaments they are hands to either push or fold and pray when called:D
