Yes, it seems pretty close to what I would consider good BRM.

This is what I use

STT 5% br

MTT 2% br

Cash Game 5% br

I absolutely agree with the article!

Many posts that I see on many sites have titles such as poker sucks, I lost it all, I quit, and on and on. But, when you read their post they are asking others where they went wrong in a particular hand. Yes we all need to question how we played hands that we lose and evaluate if there was a mistake that we made.

I have seen a lot of great advice given from the members of this site. But, not only do we need to understand how to play the game,
but we also need to understand what we can afford to lose. We all need to understand Bankroll Management

Here are some links to the FTP pros advice that I found:

Good Advice.

Bankroll management is one of the most undervalued advice out there.

Can take you months to build one and lose it all in days:mad:

I somewhat agree with this, but I think the structure it has set up is extremely tight. You'll be playing at the lowest limits until you're up to $400. As far as playing micro limit, limit hold-em, they shouldn't even have mentioned it. If you go to one of those tables, you'll probably have about 5 others calling you to the river every single time. You'll end up losing more money from an insane amount of bad beats, rather than make money from it.

That website actually gives a pritty loose bankroll suggestion. It sais
that you should have at least 20 times your buyin, but most professionals
would advice you to play with about 25 times the bankroll, especially for
beginners. The reason first of all for this big number is to try to make
a system in which the player can play at a certain table, with various
buyins available, without loosing. By doing this you get to play more hands
which makes the LUCK FACTOR evened out. In the end if your a good player
its more likely that you come out a winner and less likely to lose your
whole roll. Now, if your a professional you could go to using the 20 buyin
system, since the luck factor is less important to you, but none the
less everyone should be looking at their bankroll to find out the ideal
amount for them.
