I'm trying to improve my MTT game at the moment. Been reading a lot and watching videos for strictly MTTs. I want to mix in something else though for a little more consistency, so I figured STTs would be better than cash games. What, if any, are the differences between the two games? Right now I have $400 on Bovada and plan on playing up to $5 STTs and up to $2 MTTs and sattys. Thanks for any input.

I'm confused by what you mean.

STT meaning Single Table Tournaments?
You will need to play consistent with Sit N Gos if you want to gain any profit. You'll have to let the variance come and go.

As for MTTs, well.. find whatever works for you and stick with it..

IMO, cash games can be annoying depending on your playstyle.

Of some reasons am I much tighter in a MTT, in a Sit and Go I play a lot more aggressive and try to show them who's "boss". But if this are a good play or not, I don't know, but it works for me the most of the time, but remember, aggressive and stupid aren't the same thing. :)

It sounds like you bankroll management is right on par for a novice,
you will have plenty to learn and lots of experience with that bankroll,

best advice I would give is get comfortable outside your comfort zones and think outside the box try and think of ways to gain an edge,
or to use what you have learnt form watching turorials and reading in your own way.

oh yea, and in mtt's surviving is whats important in the early stages - later on dont worry about your hand holdings what so ever play your usual premiums as you would.

but I reccomend you try this

attempt to win at least one pot in every orbit you wouldnt usually play. ideally with any 2 cards
you will need to find weak players or tight stacks to abuse by your own accord though.

if you get called and fail to steal a blind
**look at the board texture and use that to help. you can represent hands and determine what they might be holding by any information you have on the player

The better you become at this the better you will become
