Hi guys!

Perhaps you might wish to provide some more details on what exactly you have been doing with the 10$. What stakes sng's/mtt's have you been playing that have not been working out?

If it's pokerstars your playing on they have micros that you should be able to grind up a 10$ deposit.

10c 360man sng's, 50c 9man stt's, 25c 45/90man sng's, 11c & 27c mtt's.....to list the micro of the micro which would fall in the sng/mtt realm that would provide the best opportunity for a solid brm (or as solid as it can be with 10$) to be able to grind it out and up.

Obviously if not stars then depending on where might be a different situation.

And yea i would love to set some goals like if i make 10 dollars a day quit for the day and start again the next day! So if you could give me some goals aswell

Financial goals are not great because they are out of your control for the most part...you would be better setting # of hand goals if playing cash games or # of tounament goals with sng/mtt's for example and just play as best you can and if you play well enough the results (finance side) will come. It's great to have it as some type of goal but primarily goals should be to improve and make correct decisions and the br will build overtime.

Perhaps provide some info on what you were playing, the site you are on and I'm sure you will get some further guidance.

Edit: Re a starting br if your looking to begin with good bankroll management then typically for mtt's you should have 100+buyins (200 for large fields like exist on stars), 50-100bi for sng's (stt's, sng's). So to play 1$ games you want 50-100$ for sng's or 100-200 for mtt's. However with your 10$ deposit if you played 10c 360mans for example it would give you 100buyins.

Bluffme has it right
too many people dont realize a downswing (happens to the best) will wipe out a roll fast
so you are probally playing out of your limit with your $, and why deposit more til you know you are a winning player (unless thats your recreational fund)
mtts have higher variance so sitandgos are a better way to grind up a bankroll

10$ is more than enough to get started assuming you don't get some very crap luck so improve your game then try again

alot more to do with playing within your bankroll than crappy luck.

Average to medium luck you can get wiped out pretty quickly. Read 2nd and 3rd posts
about playing which games to suit you

online poker is a long term plan.

The effect of a $10 per week is the so called scared or crippled poker.

To compensate it, you have follow such BRM system.

Keep in mind that how you define BR can impact BRM. For instance, consider the difference between one BR including all the money you are willing to use for poker vs. individual small BRs on each site. If you use the same BRM guideline e.g. min 30 buyins, the level(s) you're adequately funded to play can be very different.

So before you try to determine how to manage your BR, you might want to decide how you're going to regard your BR (or BRs).
