been on tilt for a week, its how the cards run.
in a week i haven't hit any face cards in crucial spots.
once or twice i was out kicked, others, poo poo cards hit.
sick but you have to continue to play your game.

Bad beats is part of the poker game does not help get nervous, if I take a bad beat clear that I will not like but it's not the end of the world. The kitchen will take a water or caffé wait a bit and then come back to play.

I must beat tilt too! How many times it destroyed my all bankroll :/ :D But yea, when you will go for a while outside, it will help you a lot... Deep breath of fresh air congest the brain and you are a new man... :D

Play within your BR to keep the pleasure in the game.

Practice pot control, keep them small.

Always remember its a marathon, no one hand should make or break your session.

And most importantly relay on the Magic-8-Ball.

;)

Just remember everyone deals with bad beats its just part of the game. Unless you flop a royal flush any hand can be beat.

It is part of the game. It is maths. You will have ups and downs. If you cannot `recover` take a break and continue later!

Just think about that if you will play under impact of the tilt you will have a very good chance to loose more money or more chips. You earned your bankroll(chips) with hard work ! This kind of "self control" is working for me.

Maybe you could explain what is tilt?

Tilt is a state of mind or frustration during the game after a bad beat. The player which is playing under tilt could be too agressive and a result of that could loose more chips or money because of wrong decisions.

change tables. walk around for a while. smoke a cigarette or VAPE your juice. If you dont smoke ... idk, do some pushups or something. Basically, do anything that will clear your head of the fact that you just lost a crapTON of money.

When im mad, i play stupid. Then i drive home even angrier because i played so bad. So take a breather. Hit the "Reset" button. If you that mad, just go home, or log off for a while. If your in a tournament, well, good luck. HA !

To immediately handle tilt, I would recommend getting up from the game and taking a 5-10 walk, get some water and rationalize what happened. If it was a bad beat just remember you are playing as best as you can and you can not control the cards. If it was a bad play on your part then realize it, accept it and decide to improve your game to avoid future mistakes.

Another helpful strategy that works is to do some deep breathing... I know this sounds corny to some but it works. You can even do this at the table and nobody will even know you are taking a mental timeout. Eyes open or closed, breath in for a count of 7 hold for a count of 5 and breath out for a count of 11, repeat 3 times and you will feel your nerves relax.

To work on tilt with more of a long term approach I always advise people to pickup Jared Tendlers The Mental Game of Poker Vol 1 & 2. These books break down Many Many causes of tilt and how to handle them so that they don't affect your game and even more your life. Good Luck and keep at it!

Normally I just mutter a few cuss words and keep playing along. But the other day I got stacked in pots that I built 3 times in 10 minutes by donk hands on the river! I had to restart my computer at that point. It did help, by the time I got back on I was ok.

If you are at a live tourney, go take a bathroom break, wash your face, and refocus with the concept of "I'm going to play my best poker." If online, sit out and take a quick break. Get a drink, put on some favorite music, and refocus like above. If you are not in the middle of a game, take some time off and read/watch some poker (watching dnegs is good for getting you back on the positive side of poker). Poker is definitely a mental game, so you have to be in your best of frame of mind to play your best. Gl out there!

When on tilt, stop and dont try to continue playing. It would make worst in connection to your BR.

Take a break. Poker will always be there.
